All the tubes are 99.9% nickel
Canada took all the 99.9% nickel quarters out of circulation, Noe nice ones go to $5 each on ebay
If canada takes the nickel dimes out of circulation I will have tubes and tubes to sell on ebay for maybe $2.50 a peice

Some coins have a limited mintage of 10-20k or less and do increase in value past the weight of metal in them. I'm sure it's dependent on where you sell them...but yeah, the lower mintage coins with cool designs on them are more of a collector thing.

i posted this in 2006 when we started hyping buying gold right before the boom:

this stack of standard gold bars, each the size of about a pint represents 4800 ounces or 150kg, give or take.
Back then it was worth $ 2.7 million. now its worth $ 8.6 million.
meanwhile your dollar/euro purchasing power has gone down the shitter for about as much in the negative.
A coincindence? no.
even if you had bought a small piece of gold near spot the, it'd still fetch you 3x as many dollasrs or euros or pounds now.
its not crypto or investing but it beats what banks can do for you.
Investers scoff at gold because "it does nothing". Being stable while all the worlds currencies fall in times of crisis, while being a tangible coin hidden in your grannies antique coffee grinder i wouldnt call "doing nothing"

I'm sour about the prices on ebay, everyone is gouging
I only found one person in canada who sells silver coins for what they are worth, $2-3 a coin depending on the coin
Everyone else has themlisted for 5-6 bux a coin
The cool guy also has some mercury dimes for $3.99 which is still cheaper then everyone else, I still need a fee to complete my roll of 50

This bank I'm getting coin from is hot, I got another two silver dimes in the box I just did
I also got 1 dime in the last box
If I could carry more then 1 box home I'd get as many as they'd give me
Both boxes sorta looked the same, had the same rolls, plastic, and the same three paper ones, if all the boxes came from the same place that place must of had lots of silver flowing through it

Got a box of dimes at the bank a town over
57 silvers
50 in one roll, like someone rolled all the coins in a reject slot
About 7 fishes, which is unsure of silver content
About 7 1968s which is 50%
The rest were 80% silver dimes
Ive never heard of this happening, I just added like a third to my dime collection

I was in shock ipicked the first coin from the roll, 1968, and I thought this looks like a silver one (theres also nickel 1968s)
I pressed it against my magnet and it didn't stick
Then I saw king Georges head and thought omg another silver, then I thought all the coins look silver so I just ran my magnet over the pile and not one stuck to the magnet
Thats when I was like omg wtf

My dime album is at a friends house, going to see if I can make it there today and if these plug any holes in my album
After that I'll just sort them by effigy, eventually I want a tube full of every effigy, thats when I'm done with dimes
A tube holds the same amount as a roll

added to the stack. prominently, a platinum 2022 maple featuring queen elizabeth during thr platinum year of her reign -shortly after that she fell ill and died. No correlation implied, just, potential added numismatic value.

Early in the year I stacked maybe 30 ounces of silver, and some gold
Later in the year I started stacking junk silver
I have over 150 dimes, which I guess is only about 9 ounces, cause 100 Canadian is 6 ounces or under a bit and my 50 american is a little more than 3ozt
I also have a roll of quarters which is another 6 ounces ish, some are centennial which might be 50%
3 ounces ish (50 dimes) plus another 4 dimes of the dimes I found were free basically, only cost me $5 and 40 cents lol
For $5 I could only buy 2 off my guy on ebay

At some point I need to search nickels and dollars which won't produce any silver, in a rare case I might find an american war nickel which is silver, but I doubt it
