I've been buying generic silver (Sunshine Mint) all year long (since last summer, actually).
ASE's are way too high on the premium front right now.
If we hit $15 I'll buy two kilos.

Yes. They're neat, but from what I've seen the price is hard to warrant over investing it elsewhere for me.

true that! The last 20 years gold had a lull around this time of the year, and it sure does so now.
Some days ago I had a few K coming in and i chose to store them as PAXG, tokenized gold, rather than in the dropping euro, cause the euro went from 1.10 recventy to 1.06 to $1.02 today.
The few K are for extra expenses this year, but i foresee that by inflation on the euro alone it would be much better off as gold.
PAXG is not for big longterm capital, but as a temporary wallet, for now, its a conveniebnt way to hold gold in super liqauid form, you can withdraw it in 90mg increments.
Great plan, Asante!

I bet we see $15-17 silver; it's only been going down steadily for the last few weeks. It hit 30 last fall for a day or two but hasn't been able to really hold over 23 or 24, and continues dipping.
If we hit 18 I'm loading up on kilos.

Yup!
Silver is up over a dollar today, and gold is heading back to where it was for sure.
I picked up a 10oz Sunshine Mint bar and a 1/10 AGE today a tad over spot .

I could Axe one of my take outs a month and be able to pick up 2 silver coins instead
I want to do gold but its so damn expensive, I only have $100 tops to spend every month but would rather more like $50
What should I do peeps?
I would personally say yes get some silver. If you really want gold, you can do 1/10oz gold American eagles. Silver will help you bootstrap to gold; you can sell a bunch of silver for gold later.

This is the only CL ad for silver near me
And he's trying to get $15 over spot for basically generic rounds. I mean even if those ones aren't considered generic, $15 over spot seems ridiculous to me, anyone else seeing those prices?
I hear you. I have an LCS about 20 mins from me that has decent prices, but I'm still able to find better deals (including shipping, etc.) online. I want to support local but I have a feeling it's more important to build relationships with those shops regardless.
American Silver Eagles are fetching an insane premium right now, as you said. I've had luck getting Maples a little over spot, but I honestly usually just end up with Sunshine Mint bars and rounds.

The cheapest gold I saw was a very tiny coin for $160, so maybe l get that next tine
Awesome and congrats! It's a good feeling holding real money in your hands .
I have some 2022 Maples; that .9999 shines like nothing else.

Nice!
I love Maple Leaves but they are more expensive than generic rounds or other sovereign coins but it doesn't matter too much when you're only buying a couple.
I'm liking South African Krugerands, Britania's, and Philharmonics more and more lately.
I don't know what size gold coin would be $160 right now but I'm guessing you should try to get at least a 1/10th oz coin if you are already planning on spending at least $160 on gold...it would be a little more but you would probably be getting a better deal.
...the premiums on the really small pieces of gold can be high but having a little isn't a bad idea, especially while the prices are still below 1800/oz.
I sold two 5oz bars today to a really good friend because the one time she saves money is when she puts it in silver...otherwise it all gets spent
...but the silver I've gotten for her and that she's gotten herself she never sells so it's my way of getting her to save money.
I lost about $40 on the sale but I have enough already and it's going to a good friend so I figure spreading the love and security around will (hopefully) be better in the end...if she hits a really rough patch someday at least she'll have some silver and I got $200 bucks back in my pocket that I kinda, sorta need right now.
I recomend buying and selling from people you know for the most part...
...when it comes to selling it...attempting to sell at least some to non-dealers will boost your profits or minimize your losses...
I've made a handful of sales in the one year I've been stacking silver but I always HATE selling it! Lol
I probably made about as much as I lost on sales so it's all good. Still got my stack.
I can't recommended 1/10, especially AGEs, enough.

I'll call again Monday and figure out what's going on now
Monday - out for delivery
Monday, more information needed to complete delivery
Tuesday - out for delivery
Tuesday - recipient not home (no one was home Tuesday)
Wednesday - out for delivery
Wednesday - on route to shipping center
Thursday - crickets
Today Friday - crickets
So confused what's going on here, they should have left a note on Tuesday to pick up from the shop but they didnt, if they did I could have gotten my package myself on Wednesday
The silvergoldbull is legit, I have already recived two shipments from them, this is all puraltor fuck ups
Anyways I'm going to a In person store today if we can get out the door by 3:40 to make it on time, this place has a bad price but they have a peice I can't get anywhere else so I'm going to it once to get that peice, its a 5oz scotiabank round, they dont make them anymore, and my bank is scotiabank, thats why I want it
So so sorry you're dealing with that BS, my friend! I only use SGB now because of how reliable they are. Monument Metals is equally reliable/reputable.

honestly no idea because its so manipulated with paper silver that it should be closer to $150 than $15
I hope it will go to $1 so you can buy $500 monsterboxes, before price manipulations fail and it shoots up.
Silver going down in price now is like a hunting slingshot being drawn back, the tubes creaking as its slowly drawqm back even further.. this cant go on.
