I'd like to say something positive about meditation 1

I've been meditating a lot lately and recently I even meditated my way into a trance which was incredible to say the least. I plan to meditate my way to the highest state of consciousnesses: Ultimate Reality.
I find it gets easier and easier to not think whilst meditating and the blissful feeling to be better than from taking drugs.
Now you know

This kind of posts make me so glad and motivated.
Do you go with guided meditation?

I just sit and refrain from thinking. The longer I go without thinking the better I feel.
Prior to making this post I've been deep in meditstion which I shall return to. I'm finding it incredibly beneficial and if I were to recommend something it would be to try meditation before psychedelics because it could work a lot better than the psychedelics.

I do meditate daily, had the chance of doing it before psychedelics. Some times I do it while tripping. I tried guided meditation last year and think of doing it again as it seemed more relaxed. Still, not as intense as when done alone.

How do you stop your brain from producing thoughts?
I'm a long-time meditator, so I understand the idea of not becoming attached and immersed in thoughts, but I have never heard anyone say they could stop thoughts. I thought the idea of meditation is to observe the chatter of the monkey mind without being swept away.

I'm over thinking so I find it easy to be still and not think.

One convenient way I've discovered is in that any thought that comes up involves memory. So whenever any movement of mind comes, I will simply acknowledge, saying "memory" within. Every time, everything, "memory". Persistence brings it deeper.

Mind flits between memories (more accuralty called memory stories) and projection into the future - fantasies of what might happen. Occassionally the mind pauses for a moment and experinces the present momement, like when we see a very attractive person or when we feel anger when someone cuts us off while we are driving.
Mind default mode is to focus on "What happened" and "What will happen" . . . Instead of "What is happening"
I sometimes remind myself "What is happening?" . . . It helps to wake me up.

Read Sam Harris's stuff on meditation. I had my dad read it and now he meditates all the time. Multiple times each day.
