Golden Teachers are a type of Psilocybe cubensis, which is not a sclerotia-forming species. It might be hypothetically possible to get cubensis mushrooms to form sclerotia if you crossed them with another species, but that is well outside the realm of possibility of all but the most advanced mycologists.
Here is a good place to start if you want to learn about growing the sclerotia-forming Psilocybe species.

Welllllll. Don't you think it would be pretty easy to get a subspecies. I'm pretty sure sclerotium still pin primordia and grow shrooms.yeh it'd be super hard to get a living Fertile species thats fucking impossible but just a super species would be cool, I'm gonna look more into that

They are growing "magic truffles" on a semi commercial scale in the Netherlands if i remember correctly, might be worth a look

I don't think venom was ever used to cross different species. RR used it to cross two cubes.

Yes, you will get pins and fruit forming right on scletoria. You also can get pins and fruit forming on aborted fruit because it's all just mycelium. That doesn't mean anything for this discussion

[Update]: It's looking like I might thinking of the "Black Pearl Oyster" and the information I'm finding actually indicates it is a crossbreed of two Pl. Ostreatus subspecies, which may or may not require/benefit from transgenic manipulation. I suspect this could have been cross-bred without such measures.
Either way, my point was less about the venom and genetic manipulation and more about the fact that you can't crossbreed different species.

Nothing is effective for cross species breeding because it can't really be done. Being able to successfully mate is one of the defining characteristics of a species.
There's a few examples of cross species breeding in the animal kingdom but they produce sterile offspring. See mule and liger

Oh I understand the concept pretty well (I definitely wouldn't say very well) but that's not what this discussion started with it.
It started with the suggestion of cross breeding, not splicing forgein DNA(tampanensis/mexicana) into cubensis. I'm not gonna make a judgement on that process but cross breeding through monokariotic isolates with or without the aid of snake venom or other similar tools is just not gonna happen.

Yes, for sure. Working with mexicana or tampanensis themselves is the way to go.
They also happen to produce the prettiest fruit of all the Psilocybes imo

Thank you both for the detailed comments as this was all very educational, I could only imagine the possibilities of Transgentic manipulation "may I reference penis envy" I had no idea snake venom was used in such a manner it sounds like in my opinion through lots of genetic selection you could maybe get a fertile Cubinses sclerotia mix????I'll look into other genetic manipulation strategies though, but you both are right in the sense that it'd be virtually impossible, it's for the able bodied.
