One last question for the night on gypsum

Per 650 grams of coir a brick. how much gypsum should I use in grams? does anyone know thanks? And if I were doing 6 quarts dry of oats turns into 12 quarts how much gypsum should I add in the water thanks. 2 questions if you know in grams thanks I don't like eyeballing like gram measurements

Gypsum is not needed for either. Haven't used any in years.

If you really must use it because you have it just throw some in. It doesn't matter how much. I mean, not like half your substrate or anything, just a little.

Leave it out of the sub. As far as I can tell it is pointless. You can use a little in your grain soak if you like to help keep the grains easy to shake, but it is not needed at all if you prep and dry your grains right. Gram amount doesn’t matter. Just toss in a handful dude. Don’t stress about things that are not necessary. Most people just use CV or even just coir these days.

Just like to know gram measurements ahah, if you had to guess for my amounts im talking maybe like 20-50 grams? per both, is there a reason not to add it to substrate as well more contams?

There is just noreason to add it I guess. I don’t think it will hurt anything.
Just get your bag of gypsum, grab a handful and weigh it. That is the perfect gram amount to toss in.

thanks, man I was using a tablespoon is that too small of an amount compared to the handful method? was reading a older post it said for the damion bucket tek to use 52 grams

Since not adding any at all is not to small of an amount, I’d say a tablespoon would be fine.
Handful, tablespoon, teaspoon. Even a pinch would “work,” or even none at all…
