Making a makeshift water pump or water dispenser?

I got a 5 gallon water jug because I was getting sick of having to fill 5 1-gallon bottles at a time. I first got a cheap usb water dispenser from ebay but it was shit because the battery barely lasted a gallon and a half and it took forever to fill anything. So I returned it for a refund. Then I found a "kitchenboss" dispenser with a 2,000mah battery, but it's nearly $40.
Surely, I could make something myself for less than $40, right? The battery probably wouldn't last a year or two anyway. I tried a manual pump from walmart, but it didn't do SHIT, so I returned it for a refund.
Please help.

Do you own your own place or are you renting?
I installed an under sink filter system which patches with an additional tap on the sink. Runs on main pressure. Set me back $150 but so worth it. Endless purified water on tap.

No no no no no....I have a tea setup in my bedroom. This is where my 5-gallon water jug is. I live with parents and there is NO ROOM for anything extra in the kitchen. No water lines in my bedroom. I thought of getting one of those stand up large ceramic bowl dispensers but they take up quite a bit of space. The 5 gallon jug I can just keep on the floor in the corner.

What about getting a manual water pump designed for 5 gallon jerricans?

Maybe get a water cooler stand. You could stash stuff under it so you wouldn't lose floor space.

I have one of the ceramic ones from primo that I can recommend, it barely takes up more room than the water bottle itself (approx 12" taller overall (~2' 7"tall with large bottle) with 4.5"/6" storage space underneath). You can always get the stubby bottles too if you're really short on space. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Primo-Top-loading-Cold/1000690804
