Used pc help presto 409a 1

So I just bought a presto 409a from a church thift store. It has the trivet no seal no pressure regulator. I know I can buy new seals and I can buy a new regulator I'm just confused on how to set up.

So the pic on the manual shows regulator, bobble weight, release vent, and a black rubber plug.
I don't see where the regulator would go or the bobble weight there is only one nipple on lid to put things on or is that what the plug is for. Please any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Ironic..have one like that missing a part on as well. Can’t tell from the pics but does it have a pressure gauge on it? If not, you can get a new one. That nipple part in the middle is the vent port which is where you put the weight after it’s putting out steam. The other hole has a thingy that goes in it that seals itself when pressure starts building and before you put on the weight.
You can order parts from Presto, Amazoom, and sometimes I find parts at Ace Hardware depending on the store.

Nice find.
Disregard the pic in the instructions cover. Yours uses the bobble weight. No gauge.
Grab a new gasket & bobble weight and you should be set.

Mine is probably 40 years old…I think someone tapped a hole and added the gauge at some point

I remember feeling annoyed that I could not find a local PC with a gauge. Ended up buying one that looks exactly like OP's.

409a is not the model number btw.
Refer to this link to find out what model you have.

They got all the parts and you can ask them questions if unsure

Good catch baba.
OP, the model number should be stamped on the bottom of the pot.

Ok so I've seen others post 409a that is on the bottom. It says presto mod. 01/c22 listed 409a 0/779a. So which would be the model number. With out a pressure regulator how do you know is up to pressure? I have 2 bobble weights a 15g and an actual presto weight.
Answered my own question lol 01/c22 it a 22qt canner

(After venting) place your 15 pound psi weight on the vent pipe. You will know it's at 15 psi when it's gently rocking.
You can download the manual from the presto website.
I would read it since you probably won't find a whole lot of members with that model.
Nice find! Enjoy!

Thanks atomsplit I was actually just jumping on to day thanks to all and I found the manual pdf at presto.com. thanks all who helped me I should have done at little research on my own and I could have found all this out pretty easy. I need to remember not to get lazy and complacent and learn to research before the ask. That's just for me what I need to do
