What are these nodule/truffely looking things in this colonized tub of PE?
It started out as a monotub but now its an open tub in a thermally controlled closet with the poly removed (no lid). This was done because it seemed to be going very slow; to shock it with FAE to try to encourage knotting and then pinheads. A sister tub with GT was transitioned the same day, to the same bulk and was otherwise treated similarly and although it started slow, it finally knotted up and pinned and is fruiting respectably.
The tub has full spectrum lighting 12 hours a day. Temperatures range from about 21 - 25c (71 - 77f). It was spawned to bulk (HPoo-tek)about 25 days ago.
But the tub of PE won't fruit. It has lots of knots and has had boat-loads of FAE for the past couple of weeks. The bulk is pulling away from the walls of the tub, which tells me its drying. But there are no fruits.
The white nodule/truffely growths are shown in the photo. It is attached seperately (I don't know how to place the photos directly into the message).
What are these nodules and what if anything can be done to cause pinning/fruiting?
Maybe I thought the PE was fully colonized and introduced too much FAE too early.

Can you upload a pic? Most people won’t click that download. Bad hygiene.
You didn’t introduce FAE to early. That is outdated, but if you have it to much it may have dried the surface. Almost everyone just runs fruiting conditions from day one of spawning. PEnis hard to fruit sometimes. How are your surface conditions? Have you been misting and fanning a lot? Is it cased?

You have blobs my friend Nothing special if not cased. Second flush there´ll usually be fruits. You need to delay fruiting with PE cause it seems to fruit to early, while the body tissue isn´t fully developed yet. Have a look here for more research.
Substrate usually shrinks from consolidation and losing moisture during a flush.

How would I prepare for a second flush if there are no fruits?

The blobs are the fruits. They're full of actives like regular fruiting bodies. Don't underestimate them. You harvest when they don't expand in size anymore and become soft to the touch.

Super-cool information. There aren't very many blobs. They seem to grow really slowly.

Pe is slow in general. When I spawn my tubs I can expect my harvest to come in about 30 days later. I use a peat casing to avoid the blobs. But every now and then I'll run a shoebox without casing just to harvest blobs. There fun to give to friends haha
