Definitely curious, I’m sure with that many prints something will go off.

You didnt see the other thread did you?

The MS syringes are 30-60cc capacity so I will be testing plates weekly. I nocd up some plates last night so will keep any progress posted.
Also considering making one of these

Looks like both fun & a pain in the ass to make 😂 just how I like it</font></font>
You made a 60cc spore syringe? Did you take a picture? Did you use the whole print?

I was just about to link that thread when I saw you beat me to it
it's funny how multiple threads can start to mirror each other at the same time.

I'm not saying you're wrong, Lot, or trying to be ignorant, I just see one person saying it possibly works and another who says its debunked. Honestly old spores are uncharted territory for me so the more help I get the better chance I have, as I see it. I appreciate all the help. You all rock

60cc syringes are beasts. Did you consider making 6-8 10cc syringes from separate areas of the print instead? If your 60 is contaminated you have to deal with that on every inoculation. Looks like it was decently sized print. Good luck.

if your rubber bands are properly calibrated then give it a shot and see if makes the magic happen any more than it would've without the rubber bands

No, I didn't plan to noc up jars with the syringes at first, just hydrate them so I can do agar work, which I love. But seeing as I will be noc'ing up quite alot of jars in the coming months, I will definitely consider it in the future, Tao. Cheers

Cheers Lot, I will definitely look into it. I think 16yo spores would surely be a good test if this method were true.
Will keep posted

Every time this thread has new posts I check it like a hopeful, eager, and loyal golden retriever with his tongue hanging out, only to find disappointment that people are still discussing elastic bands.

True, true. I would honestly think that just incubating and agitating MS would be enough to hydrate, if possible at all. Because in reality just because the spore can be hydrated it doesn't mean viability I'll divide some syringes 50 50 bands no bands and run a test. I wont mention it unless I get results etc
