Grain prep 2022

Hey there. I just wanted to see what people are doing these days for grain prep and what I've been doing which has been working not bad.
I usually do a no soak no simmer rye prep these days as I found that whilst doing soak simmer my rye grains would be very nicely cooked but after a week or so colonizing it looks like it gets super dry and takes forever to colonize.
So what I've done for the last long while is I basically put 200g of rye in a quart jar and add 175g of water. Swish around and then put the lid on. Pc at 15 for 100-120minutes. This works alright for me.. But the downside is mushy grains at the bottom of the jar and have to shake the same day I pc them or else if it's overnight it's one block of crap. This seems to colonize much better for me. But. Sometimes I find it's very very slow with MS. And I wouldn't mind finding something better perhaps.
So tell me what the best rye grain prep of 2022 is. Thanks!

Soak 24 hours in HOT water. Change the water several times with HOT water / right before you boil them.
Get a pan of water going and add the rye, once boiling cook for 5-7 minutes on high. Stirring often.
Drain and set them out to dry for 24 hours, stirring them around several times. More surface area = better drying.
This method works wonders for me.

Are you talking only Rye? I was boiling oats and didn’t really care for it, thinking i’d rather soak and then do a few minute boil

Random tip someone told me. You know how the bottom of jars (in your case it’s even worse,) the grain can look wet and pushed against the glass not colonizing?
Someone told me they’ll let their jars colonize some, then carefully slide the colonizing spawn towards the top of the jar so there’s a gap at the bottom of the jar. Havnt tried yet, wondering if it would just slide back down.

I use wbs. I start by screening out the sunflower seeds and rinse untill they're clean. Then throw them in a 5gal homedepo bucket. I then pour boil water into the bucket, Throw the lid on and let it sit for 90min. When 90 minutes is up I dump them in a strainer and while it drains I put 1/3 cup of vermiculite in all the jars then load the jars with the wet wbs. I Pressure cook for 90min. It seems to be working well. I got the tek from some other forum that I dont thinks around anymore.

I prep my wbs like this...
Strain most of the sunflower seeds. Rinse Add clean h20 and a little gypsum for clumping Soak for 24 hours
Then I boil water on the stove and remove from the eye. Then I Fooman soak the grains for 5-7 minutes and strain.
Then I lay it all out to dry on a paper towel lined baking sheet. I let em ride for about 20-30 stirring occasionally.
Load and PC. I run No-mod on just about everything.
