Manure should be pasteurized. Not sterilized.
Tha being said. You got a nice set of pins. Substrate looks dry to me.

Are those supposed to be Psilocybe cubensis? what area of the world did these "wild" cubes come from?

Doesn't look dry to me... The droplets are big. Let those droplets evaporate and try to get a finer mist across the surface.

Thanks for the input! hope i get some decent fruits to feast
ive read sterilized manure subs, if done properly, are actually excellent for pan cyans. figured why not try it with cubes. i see what u mean about the casing looking a bit dry, i just sat the bin with the lid slightly tilted on a window sill till pins formed hah. the casing def evapped some moisture but its since been in the greenhouse getting tons of ultrasonic from above. ill post some more pics as they mature!
print is from central florida.

Very cool. Was this from a wild print you collected? What region?

thanks! i ddnt collect them myself but is supposedly from paynes prairie state park in florida. and it was actually a swab not a print. definitely very cool so far. i think a handful of these pins are aborts due to some less than ideal conditions early on but ill definitely be taking some clones and actual prints if possible. do you think the white spots/coloring slow growth of these could be due to conditions, humidity/temp etc? the setup hovers around 72-73f and 95-98%rh

I suspect a lot of those if not most will mature a lot more. Wild stuff is always a mystery and you can never tell what it will do. Personally I see a lot of really good potential in that line and would wholeheartedly recommend pursuing it further. If you can keep some of the original F1 (first generation) live material banked in the fridge that would be ideal. You can keep a culture going for many many years if you revive it from time to time and keep it banked in a good way. I prefer LC stored in vials in the fridge for banking. Agar either as a dish, or as a slant (anything with direct air exposure), has it's drawbacks as far as long term storage goes. Mycelium can stay alive in liquid for many years at a cool temp especially if you catch your brine at the sweet spot where there isn't much food left to colonize but the culture hasn't metabolized everything yet. In a sealed cool environment the metabolism of the mycelium screeches to a near halt and the myc stops needing o2 and stops eating. LC also comes out homogenized so to speak so you get a good sample of each pheno with each drop you draw out for new plates. That way you are sure to keep everything at it's earliest stage.
The white stuff on the caps is a genetic trait. The best thing to do is keep watching them progress. They might just surprise you.
Wild stuff is cool and that culture has potential especially with documentation of collection site and year and habitat intact.
