I've only just joined and I've seen the comment you are referring to, but I haven't gone back far enough to understand why you were banned. But certainly the way you were spoken to was foul, disrespectful, and unbecoming of a MOD!

I could see how that would be helpful, the last incident really made me nervous. But I do stay plenty hydrated. Maybe when I get a new phone I'm running out of internal storage currently.

If anyone actually read the rules channel (which apparently isn't very common) there are instructions to disable the alerts.
Also, the server has a PLETHORA of channels. Gen chan is pretty much the only one that is akin to OTD/pub. You can, just like here, stay in the respective channels that suit your interest if that isn't what you fancy. Just like here in the social forum sections, if you come in acting like an asshat, people are going to return the favor or you will end up banned or sent to timeout.

If you feel like you're not getting the advice you need...try pinging mods or trusted cultivators...if you wanna give it another go...you can ping me directly as well if you have concerns. Sorry your experience wasn't the best...it is a bit of a family, but there's always room for more!

the discord from my experience is just a place to say whatever is on your mind, and hope someone chats with you about it. for actual discussions here is much better.

Some emotionally immature child banned me for voting for Trump. Majority of folk on there are good people. But bans are at a whim. "We ban altright", while allowing people to say that only good cops are dead cops. It's a joke. Stay far away.

Discord security levels were increased to maximum to stop botnets from spamming and DM'ing users with scam and phishing attempts. This is discords platform security and is basically just a captcha/SMS to your phone. I don't expect everyone to be comfortable with it and it's every users choice if they want to be active and chat or just lurk. No one on the shroomery has your info though. That is purely on discords end just like the rest of your account info when you sign up.

You clearly underestimate the power of law enforcement...if they want you they'll get you....it's that simple. Doesn't matter what social platform etc...phone number verification is highly secure and only admins that are vetted through the org will have Access...if you trust the admin/mod team here....it's pretty much the same cast of characters on the other platforms...believe me...we are NOT going to let anyone's personal information get out in the open.

Even the admins cannot see your phone number. The phone verification is through discord (the app developers) only. No one on the shroomery can see your stuff.Quote:

We don't have it setup in ways to ban people from specific channels. It's all or nothing. Chances are you clicked in the grouping/topic section and collapsed it. It will have a little down arrow or > sign next to it. Click where it says "community". When its collapsed only sections that have new posts show up.
