PAXG (and the Ruble) are on the gold standard,
I knew that gold over the last 50 years averaged 8% annual compound interest. So, I decided to also check the tumultuous period of 2000-2022. It, too, was 8% cumulative, annually.
It seems more and more that REAL inflation used to be 8%, before shit got real.
USD tethered stablecoins fall with the dollar, PAXG (and rubles) rise with gold.

Gnarly intraday rejection after an early attempt to rally off of yesterday's bloodbath. Not a healthy sign. This was destined to be a year of tremendous uncertainty though, given the rate hike cycle and crypo-specific regulatory matters. I've no preferable alternative for the capital presently allocated to crypto, so I will be for the most part, staying buckled up and riding it out.

I've just been buying the lows, small amounts only. Plan to keep for like 10 years and see where everything is at, so the dips currently don't bother me. Probably won't make any money (especially compared to you guys buying them dips and selling the highs), but it's fun anyway. I look forward to all the coming bloodbaths.

Filed my taxes, got bent over hard for 2021. Fortunately I didn't have to sell anything to pay it. Could've been far worse if I hadn't taken substantial gains near ath's. Now I have 12 months to recoup 2022. Don't have to sell anything until I want to.

That's pretty much where I'm sitting as well. All this volatility doesn't really worry me much as I'm just collecting BTC and ETH in the dips. I suppose I could get kinda f'd if the whole ETH upgrade goes totally awry but other than that it's all fun n games.

I'm pretty much doing the same thing as you guys... been steadily buying the dips... kinda working toward a similar "10 year plan"

If I knew how to short I'd probably trade the downside but right now I think it's a bit risky anyway
I try to only trade crypto or be in crypto when I think the larger term trend movement is bullish

Its always a bit risky.
Shorting is ez. Its just like longing but in the opposite direction.
That and using exchanges that offer the ability to short.

Yeah that's my thing is I don't use any exchanges that are good platforms for it
I'll probably get into it eventually, maybe a couple years down the line type of thing
Still pretty new

Yeah.. I need to open a wallet on an exchange that I can short on... the man exchange that I use is very limited in what services it offers.

Sketch, I honestly haven't looked closely at crypto options lately, but at last check, due to the high underlying volatility of the asset class, crypto options tend to trade with a huge premium, and as a consequence of their relatively low liquidity, wide spreads. Thus, I would be ok with selling options to either acquire or hedge against an existing position in order to generate yield, but I find buying them for long side exposure to carry unacceptable risk due to the large premiums and low liquidity.

Until recently (for the last few years), 90% of my trading was future derivatives. Now I've built a few bots and have them trading on the indicators I've built inside of tradingview so I really only trade spot now.

You would need to write code and have them run algorithms that cause to sell or buy on certain queues. Outta my league but badass af. That's what the wall street billionaires rape us with in the real market. A program will always be faster and more efficient than a human trying to execute a trade thru and of a variety of brokerages.
