Mushroom intolerance
    #27731748 - 04/12/22 06:00 PM (2 years, 1 month ago)

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me here. I have an intolerance to button and field mushrooms, and I'm wondering whether this is likely to extend to psilocybin containing mushrooms?

Can't really help you. You may want to consult with your doctor. I have no idea if other mushrooms like oyster, chanterells, Shitakes, etc. can also trigger a bad reaction in you. If they do it is likely that psilocybe mushrooms will not be the exception. Depending on how serious your reaction is you could experiment with tea (well filtered) or extraction of psilocybin. But I would be very cautious. You could also try other options like mescaline, lsd, or dmt.

It depends on which chemicals in the field mushrooms are giving you issues.  Field mushrooms are in the genus Agaricus, which are more likely to cause allergic reactions than other genera.  How about trying some other mushrooms from the store like enoki or oyster?  If the symptoms from the field mushrooms were just digestive issues I'd try some other ones - if it was something serious like hives I would be more cautious.
