I believe that she will be beautiful and the brickweed female outside should look even better when I bring her inside and flowerin about 3wks.

I'm trying to keep from running two rooms by vegging outside when possible or  by the backdoor in winter. I can fit 8-10 plants in my flower room if I don't train them to wide and stay on top of defoliation to keep light penetration at  maximum.

Brickweed has a bad reputation but that's because it was handled badly but when treated right, it's beautiful and has a wide variety of genetics. I love it for seed.

That would be cool. Problem is it’s been 6-8% rh here this week, tje buds were crumbling just from pulling them off the stalk.  I’m about to find out in a little bit here. I jarred them up with 62% bovedas so I know they won’t cure but hopefully they’ll smoke ok after a few days.

Hygrometer was saying about 30% in the jar.

Put some lettuce in the jar with the bud, it will add some moisture back without changing the flavor.
I've done this a fair bit in the past when buying overly dry bud.
Adding orange peal or similar alters the flavor whereas the lettuce just provides some moisture.

Vegging outside is like a signed invitation for spider mites and other miscreants to your indoor free-booze-n-good-food pool party.

You may get away with it once, but in the end, it's gonna be your girls' funeral.

I've honestly just put weed in like a trash bag, sprayed it with water, shook it up a little bit, watch it, fluff it, repeat to add more moisture. Usually leave it a day or so before another spray.
Or if it's the right time of year I can just leave it on the porch or something here ha, our RH is usually between 50-70.
I don't really mind dry smoke as much as I mind handling it. Crushing it in a bag of hearing it crunch, going to load a bowl and it goes all dust in the wind on you

That's why they don't get mixed with anything else, they're kept separate in quarantine until determined to be bug free, because those pest will show up rapidly once brought into a controlled environment. The only time ive ever had issues, was when I screwed up and put wild mushrooms in the grow room.

Darryl is right about the lettuce and orange peel, citrus will fuck up your weed because it soaks up the Citrus acid which makes for harsh smoke.

Edit:i feed my plants neem that are being vegged or grown outside beginning around may when the insect population begins to emerge.  That helps to keep any infestation from taking hold and stop using neem after the first week indoors (plants have to adjust to the change in light intensity also) or 2-3wks prior to harvest. I don't do anything but feed and water the first week inside, still keeping veg hours during the transition. It's during this week that pest will show themselves.

When available, I just add one of the bigger cola's of another, fresher strain in the drier jar, wait a day or two, then take it out again. The moisture will even out but the smells will remain split. The scents will mix in the jar but once you take em out again it won't stick ime.

You’re good a lot of people do that on purpose, and then do it again after three weeks.

With the dry Laos my main concern is that it wasn’t properly dried ever. With most dry weed you buy it was dried and cured and then left out or whatever and got too dry. The boveda packs already made a big difference overnight for rehydrating though so that should help some.

Hey doc, don’t let anyone knock your “brick weed”
You might have some fire Mexican sativa or some old school gold strain.

I grew up in Tucson and would get bricks for 400-500 bucks. And it was always smokeable. Around Christmas time we would get “Christmas bud” that was blue or  purple and stupid dumb frosty. And it cost maybe 50 more bucks a pound or the same price.

I remember when I could rather get a pound or an ounce at the same price….but once your spoiled… your spoiled,ya know….

I’m excited to see what you harvest…

I would leave them alone but I haven’t really messed with heavy defoliation either.

Google shwazzing it should come up. They take off everything but the top two fans.

I’ve been having good results just taking off a few leaves that cover up other tops, mostly inward facing fan leaves.

So I’ve had these in the fridge for about 2 weeks. The flowers seem dry but the stems still have some bend to them. At what point do I want to start my cure? Like how do you know when it’s dry enough without being too dry? The flowers are smokable as is. Just burned a bowl out of curiosity. I really want to get this part down. My tent of very close to being ready. Couple more weeks for most and 2 that look like they might never get done. Still throwing off white hairs and they trich’s are clear as a bell. Also while I’m at it thanks for anyone who said I still had a chance for them to finish after I thought I killed them. They lost almost all of the fan leaves but the flowers are looking great. They have gotten noticeably larger and more dense in just the last week alone. Nice and frosty too.

Oh yeah that looks pretty good man.

My stuff seems to really start to get better around 2 weeks after harvest even if they dried and went in jars in 5-6 days.

I’ve had a few jars where the difference between two weeks and four weeks old was huge. You can usually tell by the smell too.

Hello! I've previously had good conversations about mycology on Shroomery but today it is different. I need some advice about growing weed... Short background: Where I live growing weed is pretty much equivalent to selling meth so getting seeds through a trusted vendor is off the table. I got 6 seeds from a random dude so Idk anything about them. I put 2 of them in some wet cotton in a small vial and forgot about them for about 4 days and when I checked it I was pretty surprised to find that one of them had grown a small root while the other looks the same as when I put it there. I should mention that I've heard some notions about growing but I'm a complete noob, things like pesticides, fertilisers and things of the sort are pretty daunting for me. Now I put the seed with the root in a little recipient with dirt from some flowers. My plan is to grow a little sprout and then put it outside somewhere and leave it be because growing indoors is quite literally impossible. I don't have high hopes, if I'd somehow manage to get like 20grams it would be surreal since I pay about 17bucks for a gram of the lowest grade shake...Could anyone help me figure out a plan as to what and when to do? Thank you

Vegis ok to be a little heavy handed, it's in flower that you have to be careful.

Has anyone used these products before? Feedback is much appreciated!
