94% Of DMT Users Experience Similar Otherworldly ‘Beings,’ Study Says March 30, 2022 https://www.contxmedia.com/94-of-dmt-users-experience-similar-otherworldly-beings-says-study/
DMT, THE SPIRIT MOLECULE Nicknamed the “spirit molecule” DMT, or as it’s empirically known, dimethyltryptamine has traversed endearing elements of cultural influence throughout the modern world.
Its composed sister, ayahuasca, has presumably been used for centuries by dozens of Amazonian cultures. But in Western culture, DMT was only first synthesised by a Canadian chemist, Richard Manske, in 1931.
DMT was also discovered by microbiologist, Oswaldo Gonçalves de Lima, to be a naturally occurring psychedelic compound found in small concentrations in various plants, mammals and even the human brain.

Capable of producing radical shifts in consciousness, many scientists and psychedelic researchers have questioned the potential of the drug’s spiritual effects. But since centuries have passed throughout its use, psychedelic science has only just begun making phenomenal developments on DMT.
DMT RESEARCH 2021 research published by the University of Greenwich analysed the experiences of 36 seasoned DMT psychonauts. 40 – 75 mg of DMT was administered to each participant and each was questioned about their experience.
“Invariably, profound and highly intense experiences occurred,” wrote the study authors, explaining 94 per cent of subjects reported breakthrough encounters with otherworldly “beings.” Moreover, 100 per cent of the participants reported that their experience connected them with “another world.”
The section of the study labelled “Distinguishing Features of DMT,” analysed the “otherwordly beings” that appeared in almost all of the studied DMT trips.
“It seems that there is virtually no single experiential feature of the above thematised DMT experience which cannot be found in either the alien abduction, faerie lore or shamanic, especially ayahuasca, experience,” the study authors wrote.
OTHERWORLDLY ENTITIES Entities that the study subjects encountered were described with a vast array of features. While one presented cartoonish and clown-like characteristics, another was said to mimic a “multidimensional moth structure.”
Others had serpentine, octopoid, and insectoid qualities. While most were described as humanoid, subjects also reported run-ins with “dancing lattices” and “sentient geometries.”
Pascal Michael, one of the study authors, wrote “All psychoactive chemicals are enthralling just by virtue of their being able to manipulate the mind via their molecular mechanisms — but DMT is especially so, because of just how quickly and dramatically it can transform almost everything about one’s conscious experience.” Regardless of how the beings appeared, most subjects believed they were “kind” in nature and held pure intentions. Many even saw them as teachers or guides.
“These meetings were also overwhelmingly positive, with over half of participants conveying the entities’ enchanting nature.” The study continued, “Almost half felt some, usually ‘telepathic,’ communication from the entity, mostly happening to be on the subject of cosmic insight (such as the game-like nature of reality) or love for others and oneself.”
PALEOLITHIC VALUE OF DMT The earliest evidence of psychedelic use was found in Guitarrero Cave, in Peru’s Callejón de Huaylas valley. Researchers found cave paintings that appear ‘alien-like’ in parts of the cave that were occupied by the earliest humans – dating back between 8600 and 5600 B.C.
When a human takes a hallucinogen the chemical reaction it causes in their brain makes them see patterns that resemble the cellular structure of the brain. These are called Turing Instabilities. Examples of the instabilities, pictured, were compared to cave art dating back 40,000 years:
The origin of cave paintings suggests that humanity’s earliest artists deliberately sought out psychedelics to create visionary art.
A 2018 study confirmed that the earliest humans were using psychedelics. Their brains—like ours—had a biological predisposition to “see” certain patterns, especially during consciousness altering states. Researchers Tom Froese, Alexander Woodward and Takashi Ikegami, also claim that the cavemen would have actively sought out these drugs to give greater meaning to their visions and the world around them.
THE DMT EXPERIENCE Many DMT users claim to have experienced “other-worldly” effects and claim to have been left feeling closer to nature, the universe and even a “god-like” presence.
Zac Whelan, CONTX Media founder and managing director, went into extensive detail about his “godly” DMT experiences. Saying “The sheer visual experience of DMT alone is so profound that you’re left questioning everything, for a few days or even weeks after the trip.”
“It really taught me that taking an alternative perspective to controversy and life challenges can be a profoundly powerful tool. In my belief – this was a spiritual awakening of sorts,” he said.
Adding, “On one trip, I specifically remember lying back and staring at the roof of the room I was in. After about 20 – 30 seconds jungle vines, plant life and snakes started growing up and down what looked like four-dimensional wallpaper surrounding the room.” “Not long after, the roof began spinning into geometric patterns and the joining parts between the roof and walls began morphing into cartoon piano keys and playing music I could see.’’
ALIENS & PSYCHEDELIC SIGNIFICANCE The significance of the DMT experience cannot be understated. We are constantly being reminded that each DMT experience holds a personal element to it.
“This [one] trip in particular certainly made me further appreciate the natural creativity of the world and showed me that art is just nature’s way of expressing itself – in all its forms,” said Zac.
He also added, “’I’ve had one DMT experience where a ghost-like creature tried communicating with me in a language that made complete sense at the time, but now means absolutely nothing to me.”
“It had a cliche ‘ghostly’ aura around it with a recognisable, almost human-like face, resembling something like a grey alien (bald, slender and very tall). The creature stayed with me for most of the trip, guiding me, for I’d say around 10 – 15 earth minutes,” he said. After reading a large number of reports of people claiming to have met “god” or come in contact with a “god-like entity,” I asked Zac if he had the same experience. He said “Some might call it god – but that’s too simplistic for me. I just call it an experience; something to learn from, the same as everything in life.”
These profound and ontologically shifting experiences are endearing to many who believe in the dynamic potential that psychedelics hold. The result of this study presents evidence of a hyper-real, otherworldly, and potentially transformative experience that has had a significant impact on people’s lives.
And thus – should continue to be studied.

In some social situations, like a focus group for some product, investment, or health treatment, you are never supposed to say anything negative, as per their rules. This is how we're treating the experience.
In just one tall tale, though, a magician is going to take on two apprentices. The skies thunder and graves shudder. One loses his mind, and the other thinks it's really cool.
You get the distinct impression that someone is just making faces at you, and the setting changes.
So, the thaumaturgists set standards in terms of appearances.

94% is WAY higher than what other previous similar surveys have found.
Honestly, I think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. Which would explain why that percentage has been creeping up for years.
People's expectations drive the experience...and then other people will claim to have a similar experience just to be part of the "in" group. It's basic psychology.
I don't want to diminish anyone's experience, and I myself am guilty of having falsely anthropomorphized what I have seen on a trip a time or two...but I never really thought there was a actual "being" there. Maybe a presence(but nothing anthropomorphic)...what I have really found DMT and psychadelics to do is amplify access to the mind cloud. I've had unexplainable telepathic experiences with psychs alone, but for truly out of this world experiences...where I felt like I was truly seeing behind the curtain of the physical universe, dissociatives are needed. Psychs alone are more introspective for me(I wouldn't write off that these "beings" people are seeing, are themselves, their own subconscious given form).
But I think the idea that people are conversing with aliens or DMT fairies when they smoke up is pretty god damned ridiculous...but a lot of that could just be from how hard it is to convey these experiences to others through language.
I am a generally pretty logical, rational person. And most my life I have been agnostic, leaning atheistic at times, but I have had some profound spiritual experiences from Ibogaine, ketamine, and combining nitrous with psychs, that are pretty hard to explain which have opened me up to the possibility of "God's" existence...but my god isn't anything like those described by Abrahamic religions, and does not resemble man in any way, shape, or form. To me "God" is more of a metaphor for the universe itself. The idea that we were made in God's image is arrogance of the highest order.
And those experiences did not involve communing directly, or even language...it was more like the universe, the world around me, responding to my thoughts in real time, sending me messages, answers even. Or through visions, revelations, that would come to me in a trance.
I know it sounds like schizoid experiences, but at the time my thoughts were so clear, so slow, almost sober. They were epiphanies in the truest since, like I imagine NDE's to be. And when they were over my mind went back to being as scrambled as you would expect given the drugs in my system.
And these epiphanies were often accompanied by a physical sensation, almost like a weight being lifted off my shoulders, being enveloped by a blanket, or a gust of wind at my back. It was a feeling hard to put into word's, but describing it as feeling God's presence would not be far off.
And they have been RARE. It's not something I can replicate, or predict. But they have come to me at time's that I have needed them most.
Don't get me wrong, I love Jesus, but I love Jesus the way I love Ghandi or MLK Jr. He wasn't magic, he wasn't a zombie, and he wasn't born of a virgin. He was one of mankind's great teachers...and religion was just how people of his time understood and interacted with the world, how they conversed philosophically. And modern Christianity and organized religion has NOTHING to do with the teachings of Jesus.

I've only vaped dmt a few times but each time I met beings, the first time I was shot into a disco room full of hundreds of cats and circus music playing. I had a strong feeling all these beings were actually a single entity instead of hundreds of separate entitys. There was 2 or 3 like 'boss' cats and they were surrounded by many many more smaller cats they all looked very similar just a size difference

I understand that we are not conventionally supposed to ask for a sign, in which matter is created or destroyed, but these seemingly-ridiculous encounters can help you solve science and engineering problems or possibly help you locate lost items.
Our ancestors thought that the visionary, mental state provided some useful purpose in consensus reality, besides just emotional catharsis.
(Pardon my typos. I promise that I am just drinking coffee...)
