It's all about the Japanese Umbrella Pine.
Brugmansia's are excellent and not terribly difficult to care for.

I have a dwarf orange tree, three small coffee trees, a verigated Jap. maple, a dwarf bannana, and a six foot tall clump of bamboo growing in my livingroom. I have them arranged around my gator pond so that it looks like I have a small jungle growing in the corner of the room. If it is a covered patio, or if you will have to move it inside for the winter, Look for trees labled "low light" or "dwarf" or "does well in containers"
