Crypto woes
    #27708434 - 03/25/22 05:27 PM (1 year, 9 months ago)

I want to buy pot from the dark web. 120 a oz for better than mids, 80 for mids. I can save enough to more than makeup for this stupid 17% credit card interest!

I don't have a driver's license or ID at the moment which makes it impossible to use crypto in the US and many other countries. Until the last few weeks some exchanges did not require ID. Paxful still lets you buy but you can't trade or transfer without id. Everyone does KYC now.

Every once in a while there is a reasonable offer on bisq to trade BTC for an Amazon gift card. So I bought $200 worth before understanding people willing to do the trade want to see the receipt for a physical card and most also want to see you paid in cash.

The only people I know who would help me out in person would want me to order coke or heroin for them and I don't want to open that door. Pots fine. I live in a large urban area of a decriminalized state. Cops can still arrest you in theory but the DA won't charge marijuana crimes at all unless the main crime is something else. The last case that was marijuana only was in 2019. It is pretty funny, people smoke pot openly but that is really new and last summer I walked by a guy tormenting a cop holding a burning joint right behind his back, making a show of it. I didn't make out what he was saying but by the tone of the voice he was saying things like look at you tough guy here I am smoking a joint and you ain't doing shit.

I'm not in a hurry, the id will get here. I did a really long t-break and these delta-10 THC-A and HHC vapes work just as well for me as the real thing vapes. And I can get a $50-55 eighth.

So anyway now I have $200 to spend on Amazon unless someone can come up with a way to turn it to BTC for me. At least the $200 only cost $200.

I have some amount of altcoins in wallets on a laptop I used in 2014. I bought a few hundred dollars worth of BTC and DOGE but never had a lot on my computer because I thought it was safer to have someone else take care of it. Ha ha ha ha.

A few years before that I worked with a guy who was into it really early on. I remember he once told me he had stopped mining bitcoin until he got better hardware. It was getting too hard to mine. He had dedicated hardware but it was so slow it took half a week to mine just 1 BTC. It just wasn't worth it, literally, it made his electric bill a lot higher.
