1st Agaricus blazei agar plates??? (I think)

OK,
1st ever agar plates.
Agaricus blazei
Um??? How do I know its that and not contam?
Top right is control so I know my TEK is relatively good.
Bottom right is contam because there is an obvious "fighting-line" right?
The four on the left are "hopefully" Agaricus blazei???
But why such difference in growth rates?
Or do I have it all wrong and the little petrie is Agaricus blazei
and the other 3 or weird fluffy contam?
Anyway, very much out of my depth now?
Any and all advice greatly appreciated!

The two middle ones and top left and possibly bottom left all look good but they all also look different from one another. I would only expect this if grown from spore, but most ABM growers will obtain mycelium more easily.
I'm going to go all in on this species this year, but am awaiting shipment of my mycelium so you are ahead of me. On wheat, though, I've seen the myc look pretty wispy in past grows (before I worked with agar.)
I'd let the slower growers grow out more and transfer some from some of the faster growers onto new plates as well as do a test batch of grain for a trial fruiting run. At least from that top middle plate and maybe the bottom middle plate.
If they all came from the same culture, it makes less sense that these are all so different and growing at different rates.
On a tangential note, you may be interested in the following study for long-term storage of your culture once you get it sorted out: https://www.elsevier.es/es-revista-revista-iberoamericana-micologia-290-articulo-preservation-agaricus-subrufescens-strains-at-S1130140612001040
For those who don't have external links enabled, it is a link to a study where sorghum grains were successfully used to cold-store Agaricus Subrufescens (A. Blazei) for long periods; which can not normally be done on agar nor liquid culture. With Sorghum you can preserve your genetics long term the way you would with other cold tolerant species on slants.
Yes, same day, spore syringe. I'll continue reading your post.
Thank you.

Awesome, I'll follow closely.
I plan on going nuts also on this one.
Cheers. I'll let you know how I go.
BTW got my spore syringe from the guy in Maine, USA. Took a while but worked out well.
