Beautiful. Is that liner-less and cased?

Bummer - so I tipped the tub up a bit to see if it had absorbed the water I added via bottom-watering and the two largest fruits fell over. They are still attached to the substrate by some mycelium and are someone propped up by the side of the tub. I hope they continue to develop. Lesson learned to not touch these tubs when the fruits get this big, unless there is some other common way of supporting them. I started having thoughts of mini tomato cages lol but have never seen anyway support fruits in any way so figured it's not needed. Maybe this particular pheno just happens to have weak bases?

Yes those look like AMAK. They will get wide bottoms and then start growing taller. Mine have had pretty big caps. They will continue to grow taller even after the caps fully open and start curling, so let them go until they start getting soft if you want to get the biggest size you can out of them.
Mine needed a lot of bottom watering, they will eat it up.

Mine were 'meh'. Nothing like proper Melmak, but it could have just been the bad luck of the multi spore gamble. Others I have gave them away to have enjoyed them, so too each their own I suppose.
So I'd say they are normal. Nothing like APE though. They shouldn't lose potency based on size.

So are AMAK's albino melmac PE's or something different?

They are an albino isolation from melmak, I believe Dave Wombat started it all from what I can gather here and on the TAT Facebook page. Lots of folks mistake that it is part of the TAT project, which it isn't.

Yeah I'm double posting, but they belong here 😂
Some big dicks in this AMAK second flush. Lot more dense fruits than first flush, which is usually opposite for me with cubes.

So if you swab or spore print the OG Melmac from a grow what are the chances it doesn't produce the funky characteristics?
I grew them out recently and let them mature where the caps opened up. I was able to get a light print from some.

I'd say its no different than any other variety, you'll get reverts every once in a while.

What's the best albino melmak in terms of fruit size and overall yield? Most the TAT x Mak crosses I see seem to either have adopted TAT's smaller size or put out few fruits.
