Do you guys buffer coir? Mine says it’s prebufferred but idk. Recently I skip buffering prob 70% of the time so maybe that’s part of my deficiency problem. Made sure to buffer all of it for this next laoberry/HM/mugato run so we’ll see.
I have like 30-80 ppm from the tap, AKA your just storing the solution to use drain to waste? Has me interested what chemistry is in play there. You guys using air pumps? Maybe brand of nutrients. It’s definitely convenient not having to use pH down all the time.
Looking good Hobbit! Going to have good pack some freshies.
Chosen that’s some purple looking dank.

Are you pHing before mixing nutes? should be downing the nute mix not the tap. R/O does make a big difference tho.

Yeah I always ph last. I didn’t know that ppm affected the ph up/down and thought I was going crazy for a while
I just tried a c99 sample, tastes like some sort of candy. I think I’m gonna grow a clone out and just seed one branch. Between the speed and the taste it’s worth having more.
What’s weird though is it smells like gravy or stuffing to me. Wasn’t expecting such a sweet taste out of it.

That’s not at all how my world works, there’s a lot of factors in play. Curious why yours raises up not at all what happens in my reservoir. Are you actually recirculating your solution? Curious how big of reservoir you running? I know the number of plants drinking makes a difference. How often are you flushing and refilling the reservoir. I know that big operations will need that stuff I was pretty happy that I didn’t have the big swings I was expecting and just fresh water seems to keep it in balance, I’d rather just add fresh water then have to ph Down it all the time, if nothing else saves me buying phUp as much. It’s interesting if nothing else.
I'm talking straight water. No nutes. No hydroponics none of that. If i ph the water from 8 to 6.5 and dont use it all and leave it sit in a watering can i need to ph it back down again the next day.
Tell me, why do all the big players running hydro check and adjust the ph multiplt times a day?
The jungle boys for example.
Hell, i just had someone tell me i should be checking the ph of the water in my cloner every day for better results.

Lotkid That’s interesting to me I am talking my reservoir with nutrients so maybe it’s different, but without something actually adding or subtracting H+ or OH- I don’t see how a water can would change much over that short of a time. I do check my pH morning and night but am not having to adjust it much just fresh water to raise it back up every 2-3 days. Lots of factors to account for on my end, I think having a good sized reservoir may help me, but still it’s interesting. I’m certainly not some big operation that needs that much automation, if I had a huge patch drinking off my reservoir I’m sure it would swing more. If my reservoir needed to be adjusted 2 times a day I think I’d have to revaluate my set up, I’d be setting myself up for failure. I also didn’t change the pH in my cloner very often, but have only used it a few times.

I change the solution in my cloner once a week. Gonna start checking ph every day to keep an eye on it and keep it in check and see if it makes a difference in root development for me.

Fresh cuts taken a few hours ago
Pinky whatcha using as nutes? Advanced with ph perfect will keep your ph in check without adjustment. That's what i used to use in coco.

wow lotkit. those are some very healthy clones. what kind of light is that in there?
how long was they in the cloner before transplant?
i have the 5gal bucket cloner and am building the 27gal tote cloner. will the same pump work for the 27 gal one do you think? im making the manifold a little bigger. i feel like the pump may or may not be able to pump the water as hard. idk and i only have the one pump so when i switch its going to happen all at once cause the clones are still in the cloner and will be when i switch over.

That’s how big id go too if I was keeping a mother. It’s a whole plant ready to flower soon as it roots.
I was always worried the roots from different cuttings would tangle if I let them get longer than a few inches, apparently that was way off
Prob gonna transplant and flip this laoberry. Hoping it’s female but either way will be good, it’s been very fast and healthy. It’s already throwing 9 finger fans so that’s from the Laos for sure. The strawberry pie was mostly 5.

Thanks. Took some time and learning but i like to think i can produce solid healthy cuts.
Those older pics are sour tangie that i used to run. I used a 4x8 shorty with 2 spectrum king mother's lil helpers for my veg and moms.

Honestly tho...

These led shop lights from wally world are far more cost effective. 100 watts, 10k lumen and 4000k. I could flower under these if i wanted to. Linkable up to 4 lights. My moms really seem to like em. Sorry theyre looking a lil droopy. I'm about to water them.

These things ⬆️ seem to like em too.
...strangest damn pickles i've ever grown. I'll tell you whut.
Just checked the ph in the cloner. Fresh solution was preppared yesterday and ph'd to 6.0
Today it was 6.7 so i brought it back down to 6.0

Mmmmmmmmm..... meaty cuts.....

Those were in the cloner for like 3 weeks before i got to them. The roots were starting to clog up the pump.
And hobbit, only one way to truly know if that pump is gonna cut it. But if its spraying fine now it'll prolly spray fine when you switch it over.

Totally agree, have had waaay better results with swapping out water once a week. Def will look into checking the ph every/other day. Love seeing the big clones, feel it gives em more of a chance to survive. Always has me laughing when I pick up cuts from friends, n they're only 3 inches tall hah.

Check out this poster! This festival was wild! Complete craziness! And it rained a LOT! While I was tripping balls on way to much acid. It was great!
