You can easily have success with wild prints. Just pick a nice specimen and use all the precautions you would normally use.

Some people think anything that touches the air becomes contaminated and if it ain't grown under laboratory conditions then its likely contaminated.

The proof is in the pudding boys, I've grown lots of clean mycellium from wild Psilocybe cyanescens prints. Not all of them were clean of course but most were ok.

Nah, I was just saying that the sentence you wrote is basically a definition for anything that is "contaminated" in the world of mycology/microbiology. Of course you'd need to take out the first few words, "Some people think".

I've seen some wild prints produce fine too, but in my experience, more often than not, they're no good for syringe style spore-inoculations.
