Haha! Those are f*cking Oyster mushrooms, not 'magic' ...
Mother, 2 sons charged with growing 'magic mushrooms' at southern Indiana home February 25, 2022 - WDRB
Picture inside a major grow operation for "magic" mushrooms at a home in New Albany, Indiana. Image courtesy Floyd County Sherrif's Office. Feb. 22, 2022A raid on a southern Indiana home earlier this week turned up a large growing operation for so-called "magic mushrooms." Court records show the Floyd County Police Department arrested a mother and her two grown sons on Tuesday morning after serving a search warrant on a home on French Creek Road in New Albany. Police arrested Anne Allen, 68 and her sons, Frederick Allen, 38 and Joseph Allen, 29 at the home. All face a number of felony charges including dealing in a controlled substance and possession of drugs including LSD, cocaine, meth, spice and marijuana. Officers went to the home before 9 a.m. on Feb. 22 and discovered a building behind the Allen house complete with a kitchen, bathroom and a downstairs. Police said the rooms were outfitted with rows of stackable plastic shelves, special lighting and a large air purifier to grow psilocybin mushrooms. Psilocybin is illegal in most states including Indiana. It is the hallucinogenic compound found in some mushrooms that can produce profound changes in consciousness over a few hours after eating them. The mushroom farm in New Albany was apparently pretty sophisticated. Areas inside the building appeared to be designated for each stage of the growing process from fungus in jars to large plastic tubs full of wet soil with large blooms of mushrooms, according to police. Court records said police found narcotics testing kits, a heat sealer for plastic bags, propane tanks, an autoclave for sanitizing instruments, dozens of petri dishes with mushroom spores along with bags of barley seeds used as soil for the grow operation. Also in the outbuilding, police said the kitchen cabinets were filled with marijuana in mason jars. Police said they found a kitchen drawer with two small bags of white powder, a grinder, THC cartridges and marijuana edibles. Police also believe the kitchen in the home was used to process batches of psilocybin food and liquids. Fresh mushrooms that tested positive for psilocybin were found in the refrigerator, and bags of dried mushrooms were also on the counter. Court records show after police read Anne Allen her Miranda rights they asked her about "what mushrooms were in the dried bag?" She responded, "They are oyster mushrooms that I use to thicken soups and for when I get the munchies." Indiana University Southeast confirms Anne Allen teaches at the school and school officials are "aware of the arrest and is assessing the situation." The IU Southeast website shows she has been a professor of fine arts and art history since 1994. When police searched Joseph Allen's bedroom, officers found a safe filled with LSD, $4,220 in cash and his passport. Court records also show police found a bank bag with $3,200 on top of desk, and a cigar box with $1,000 inside. Police also said a hand written budget for the operation was discovered along with information on two bank accounts with deposits for $79,800 between May and December 2021. A public records search of Joseph Allen showed his employer as Mushroom Man LLC. The business address was a mailbox store in Los Angeles. Police were not able to confirm current employment for him. In the main house and the second building, police found a total of 3.62 pounds of dried psilocybin mushrooms, 295 pounds of psilocybin infused brown liquid in gallon mason jars, 3.05 pounds of marijuana, 758 hits of blotter paper squares of LSD, 29 grams of suspected spice, 2.58 grams of cocaine and 1.31 grams of methamphetamine. "The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department was made aware of an alleged large drug operation in Floyd County through complaints from members of the community," Floyd County prosecutor Chris Lane said in a written statement. "I applaud the Sheriff’s Department for their professionalism and swift action and the members of our community who remain vigilant." I don't think so.
Man, how stupid can cops get? Oysters look nothing like magic mushrooms. Even if the Oyster bag was a 'decoy', none of the other pictures show any psilocybe mushrooms. The family still has some troubles with the LSD, cocaine, meth, spice and marijuana, though.

I am guessing it is lc but the cops probably think its a psilocybin edible drink is my bet. I guess it could also be liquid extracted psilocybin maybe just a thought as amber jars are best to store that in.

That’s a lot of liquid for a LC. I don’t know where they would be sending all that food and drink to though.

Yah it could be that too. Those cops seem clueless as to what they even found.
I see brown liquid mentioned but not amber jars?
I assumed LC because of the amount of it in comparison to everything else they stole from the poor bastards. ~35gal is certainly a descent amount of LC but 35gal of extract would be

That does not look like any liquid culture I've ever used. And it's like 30 gallons! Maybe some type of extraction?

Fucking ignorant cops are nothing but children ruining people's lives instead of educating and helping people. I stopped stealing and doing bad things when I came to Ireland, haven't even been arrested in almost 7 years. I guess it's the stupid cops and mean assholes that caused me to steal and do bad things. It sure feels like they were the cause, because I'd be thinking of people who wronged me, or how my life had been negatively affected by stupid people when I was stealing or doing something wrong.

1st picture far left those are for sure gourmets most likely oysters. 3rd and 4th picture obviously oysters again. Picture 5 looks like oysters on agar to me but not 100% sure. Picture 8 the top jars yellow ones maybe LC sure looks weird hard to tell. The brown jars are either tented or that is some kind of edible extract imho. Since the lady mentioned she uses them for broth to thicken probably some sugar in it maybe. Picture 11 sure looks like oyster piss to me. Picture 12 just a observation but what the hell are the ear muffs for unless maybe there a radio or bluetooth? Not sure why they say tubs with soil I don't see anything except grain in them stupid cops.
Joseph Allen for sure a coke or meth head, or he just dropped some LSD All these pictures and no pictures of what I see as real drugs that is kind of strange just oysters and some liquid. Where the hell are the good pictures of the meth, coke, mushrooms, and lsd at? Also to have a receipt for a deposit of almost 80k they sure didn't find much drugs on them which is also weird. I would expect a professor to maker that kind of money so not to strange.

Check out that flow hood, nice! Guessing it must make a racket cuz of the ear protection.
LOL, go to Google Streets, they've got totes stacked up right outside the out building, visible from the street. 2670 French Creek Rd, New Albany, Indiana

Your Google-fu is top notch! Sure enough, there it is.

This is from June, 2021. So they have been at it, growing oysters, for some time.

This is hilarious! Very sloppy, even if they are oysters, though, and draws unwanted attention.

The pictured shrooms are clearly "unmagic" and almost certainly oysters. It's hard to say what those 40 gallon jars of dark liquid are, but nothing in any of the photos actually looked illegal to me although some things were suspicious. OTOH the reporters claim the cops say they got 3 pounds of pot, some spice, cocaine, meth and a few grand in cash. The photos quite clearly show a commercial scale mushroom operation, although a far cry from Breaking Bad (LMAO). That flow hood must have cost a grand or more, plus several hundred bucks for that stainless bench. And an autoclave. Plus all those spawn bags and totes outside.
So if they actually had meth, pounds of pot, cocaine, spice, money and a setup to grow dozens of pounds of shrooms every month then do you think that maybe for some unknown reason they just never bothered to grow cubes?
Sadly all we have to go on are the pics and the reporters telling us what the cops said. Plenty of points of failure. I mean, the story says the outbuilding was behind the house for instance. Yet Google Streets clearly shows it in front of the house. Stupid cops? Fake forms? Crappy reporting? All of the above? Who knows. I don't.
One thing seems clear. Be sure to get along with your neighbors if you are engaging in anything illegal. Supposedly the neighbors kept complaining until the cops felt compelled to check it out.
