No I mean that they were not officially there, they had no pins and at the beginning Putin also denied that they werev there.
All the more reason the locals weren't intimidated.

You think that includes the Tatars?
In both cases, I'm referring to the majority opinion.
Iraq parliament votes to expel US troops.

No, that's the percentage of respondents who gave that answer for why they thought the country was headed in the wrong direction.
Only 20% think it’s going in the wrong direction. At least 80% (the majority opinion) don’t think the country is going in the wrong direction for any reason including the occupation.

All the more reason for locals to be intimidated. At least, an official army has an official person in charge, is supposed to respect certain engagement rules and all this shit. You dont send pirates paramilitary to make people feel safer.

Crimean Tatars used to be a much larger proportion. When the Soviets retook the region in 1944 after two years of German occupation, they deported every Tatar they could round up. Put them into cattle cars, strangely similar to what the Nazi's did to Jews. A very large percentage of them died within one year.
That's how they got a Russian majority in Crimea.
So their population was unnaturally skewed in the favor of the Russians through some lite ethnic cleansing. Sounds like a solid basis for a referendum to vote on whether or not to secede.

That's the basis of all of the ethnic disparities in Eastern Ukraine - since the 1920s... genocide of local population and resettlement by Russians

I'm saying Tatars would be and were intimidated by overwhelming Russian military presence and the threat of future discrimination.

Sure it's bad but nobody is talking about on the real major issue that America seems to be the one to have to quarterback this whole thing. These goddamn over unionized European economies can barely handle the gas crunch and were just expected to foot the bill by selling them gas and high end military hardware at top dollar while nobody seems to be asking for them to even take up slack let alone pull thier own wieght for once again drawing us in with typical European political horseshittery. Now as the war drags on were expected to bear all the blame for this war. I thought europe was gearing up to have thier own standing army so we didn't have to be the ones to spearhead sorting out thier problems for them? Now it seems like NATO is stronger than maybe ever and were going to have to sell and supply them more than ever indefinitely. This war just needs to end I'm sick of hearing about it.

There are unconfirmed reports that Ukraine has liberated the town of Oleshky on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
If that's true....

And why is any of that bad for the US? They aren't footing the bill, they'll be making quite a lot of money.
Similar circumstances and business arrangements are what saw the US economy thrive post-WW2

Because it accelerates war and destruction. Then again we told these people to cut the malarkey and just do freedom stuff so I guess peace sells but who's buying

As of a 2019 consumer study conducted by clear visions that is heavily paywalled:
75% of truck owners use their truck for hauling one time a year or less (never) 70% of truck owners go offroading one time a year or less 35% of truck owners put stuff in the bed of their pickup truck one time a year or less
The most commonly cited reasons for truck ownership are: -The ability to outperform others -To look good and present a tough image -To have their car act as an extension of their personality -To stand out
Similar mindset.
