I think it's extremely important to get the story from both sides. Like any problem if you don't take the other sides point of view into account it's likely the problem won't be resolved and it'll just be one side bullying the other.
If the story turns out to be false the only way to get to that point is by chewing through the details.
I'm glad Falcon posts what he posts, if he didn't we'd all be banging the same drum. Same with The Ecstatic's post's, even though I get belted around the ears with some history lessons, I'd rather look stupid and gain insight rather than maintain an idea that's false.
So far all I've heard on the tv is Russian aggression blah blah blah with very little commentary on why the situation is the way it is.
Do I think Putin's a cunt, yes I do, but I'd like to understand the reasons behind why he feels the need to act like such a cunt.

If i were your neighbor and I just walked into your front yard and punched you in the face would you care about my reason ? If I stayed on my side of the fence and verbally harassed you and expressed my displeasure with your silly Australian accent you might be inclined to figure out what my problem is but if I cross your property line and assault you , I would argue my reasoning is irrelevant .

Russia has been cut off from the international banking clearing house swift.
The Russian people have to suffer until they become responsible world citizens and remove the dictator and this is a good start.

RT is a reliable source if you want to know what lies the Russian government is spewing. I’m not even saying most of their reporting is false, but I would not trust a single word they say concerning the current situation. They are in propaganda overdrive right now.

That may be the case and if so it shouldn't be too difficult to work it out.
I saw a news article from RT pop up last night saying this
Quote:
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday that he was ready to sit down for talks with Russia in order to end hostilities between the countries. The same day, Peskov told reporters that Moscow was ready to hold talks in Minsk, Belarus. He later claimed that the Ukrainian side first offered to move the meeting to Warsaw, Poland, and then stopped responding.
That's not what the news here is saying.

Hehehe when I returned from Canada I was asked what stood out to me, I said "How terrible my vocabulary was"
From what I can see Putin has been bleating about NATO's expansion for a long time and nobody paid any attention. Putin has your attention, my attention, the whole worlds attention now.
Somebody will have to blink first to resolve this, I can't see Putin blinking any time soon.
So what's the next step then?

Does the western media show troops surrendering? Not as far as I have seen. All I've seen so far is how well the Ukrainians are doing which sounds to me like a load of crap. Asking the public to make molotov cocktails doesn't sound like winning to me. If that's the case how many more people have to die before negotiations start?

After looking into that video above those prisoners were from...... Snake Island! you know, the martyrs that defiantly told the Russian Navy to 'Go Fuck yourself"
Turned out to be a load of shit
And you guys give Falcon a hard time for pointing out these type of bullshit stories
Jesus Christ how many times does western media have to get this stuff so fucking wrong and suck everyone in time after time after time!

Go to Twitter and search for “dead Russians” and Russian POWs. Lots of Russian equipment burned as well.
I think the best clue that Russia isn’t doing well is that there is almost no involvement of Russian fighters. I think it’s pretty clear that Russia has not been able to neutralize Ukraine’s anti-aircraft defenses. It also looks like there is activity in the same locations day after day.
Some of this stuff is Ukrainian disinfo, but this is war and disinfo is a legitimate tactic. If you support Ukraine then don’t disseminate Russian propaganda, but don’t feel bad if you help Ukraine spread theirs

I don't have Twitter or any social media.
Looks to me like Russia isn't targeting civilian buildings, even though some have been hit. I've seen the same burnt out truck about 50 times.
There was footage on the tv yesterday of a Russian tank driving straight over a civilian car which was sickening.

Yep , he's the worlds biggest Karen , how do you think non nato countries are feeling now ? No one was attacking Russia . He's also threatening Finland with military action , a country that's been peaceful for 100 years . But hey he's mad , and short , so if he invaded them too . I guess it's just our fault for not taking his Karen rants seriously.

Any nation-state with some level of involvement in engaging in total propaganda right now. Between this, and the general fog of war, I see no reason to believe any specifics coming out unless they are from a highly trusted source with boots on the ground. I also don't see much benefit in immersing myself in "both sides" propaganda as some flawed exercise in being impartial. 'Propaganda: The Formation of Men's Attitude' is a highly recommended read. Propaganda is more subtle than we tend to think, but it is effective if we don't actively guard against it. That doesn't mean to bury our heads in the sand, but we should recognize state propaganda for what it is and avoid engaging with it.
But all geopolitical jostling aside, one thing seems very clear here: the Russian state is the military aggressor in the immediate conflict. I think we need to draw a very clear line in the sand here - offensive military action is almost never justifiable, and should never be given the benefit of the doubt.

Let's be clear here, all I'm saying is that I want to look at both sides 'stories' as it's obvious there is propaganda coming from both sides.
Should Zelensky lead more people to their death or consider negotiating? I'm not arguing that Putin is the aggressor but that DOES NOT mean Zelensky should keep throwing humans at the problem if he is outgunned. That's the actions of someone acting irresponsibly.

It's the actions of a patriot that defends his country . I would rather die right now than let Russians roll through my neighborhood . Guess you don't understand honor and courage ? Life is temporary , honor is forever . Mad respect for the Ukrainians .

Pffft. It's easy to say that if you're the number 1 super power with all the guns.
Honour and courage mean fuck all when you have a country full of dead people.
