Hehe. One of my plants fell over a couple months ago, and she was in the back of the room and I didn’t feel like fuccin with her. She grew into a big ugly ball of nuggets with long scraggly branches sticking out… she still turned out great. Just looked funny…

That looks pretty! What is it?

"Microgreens" that didn't get chopped, below the canopy.
Greens for the next few days...does anyone juice/eat their cannabis fan leaves?

Veg is blowing up, outgrowing their pots and need a foliar feed, only 21 more days 🤞

Those are beautiful man I love how real sativas look.

I bet the stretch was crazy, mine blew my mind sprouting new branches a week into flower that grew all the way to the top of the canopy. Didn’t quit growing for about 7 weeks either.

Which terpenes are you after? I’ve only done the one Laos but it’s got a smell that unlike any other weed I’ve seen so far. Like limes dipped in menthol.

Fun read for anyone like me trying to learn more about plants.

Good read! Interesting that defoliation likely doesn’t provide any benefits. I certainly won’t be fucking with my plants now, just let ‘em grow natural.

yeah im trying to go a more natural approach as well. i still defoliate whatever leaves are covering the bottom nodes but now i try to wait a little more till flowering.

I love that website.

I really can’t believe there aren’t a bunch of solid side by side grows testing defoliation. I keep seeing people mention that cotton growers defoliate as evidence to support it but when I looked it up all I could find about it was that they defoliate to make harvesting easier, nothing about yields.

I just went and super cropped the laoberry. Definitely gonna have a wide range of terpenes. One smells like sweet mint and one smells like an armpit.

i just suppercropped my huckmonkeys and topped the apple fritters. im going to just flower out this tent and maybe put up a trellis. idk. just trying to keep them all same height right now. the purple moby haze seems to be slowest grower. the x18 is really sensitive to nutrients. the tatooine donuts are doing great and all seem about equal.
my flower tent is looking good. the wedding cheesecake auto cross is yellowing more than the others but it also could be root bound a little. every plant in there is littered with seeds on accident. im making F2 tatooine donuts and i am also reversing the crude fuel clone. the crude fuel is barely making pollen. like really none at all. the tatooine donut f1 male pollen must have been on my clothes and i didnt think about that at the time. every plant in there has seeds developing in random spot, a lot of spots. whoops. hopefully it dont mess with the THC value at all. i know im going to suffer yield loss due to the seeds. thats a bummer.
does it affect THC a whole bunch?

2x4

apple fritter leaf

4x4

crude fuel
STS reversed clone still in solo cup
im picking them off by hand and tweezers and putting them up to dry in a bag thats left open.

my plan is to take clones off the ones in veg (2x4) and flower it out as soon as they are growing healthy and recovered from training. im afraid that the 4x4 grow will not be enough flower for US until the next harvest so im going to flip the 2x4 into flower instead of waiting for the 4x4 to finish up and move them.

Hey bro bro, I just was wanting to suggest flowering the pmh a little earlier than you probably normally would… she  will try to hit the ceiling…trust me.

I love defoliation and training plants. Some strains are more prone to mold and whatnot. So it’s good to keep stuff tidy… plants will grow a bud wherever there is a leaf, so if you pluck some leaves, the buds won’t grow there and you give the plants extra energy to put towards stacking cola buds.

I only defoliate to get more light penetration to lower bud sites, otherwise its not something i think should be done. Outdoors i almost never do it unless i need light penetration.

The vast majority of people i see doing it are new growers who struggle not to take off all fan leafs. On reddit its pretty comical how you will see someone shred a plant and be like, did i do good? Pbviously just following a trend that they dont really get.

Tents looking good, just tied down all my plants. Got one showing possible preflowers.

Little concerned about hermis, i habe been doing some reading on ither black candyland grows and have seen a few comments about herms. And a guy who did a crooss with some gsc and black candyland had a real problem.

Got one plant showing probable male preflowers. Going to murder that one as a message to the rest soon

Went from thinking I was burning them to thinking I need to feed. I tested the soil they are all between 6.2-6.5 so I don’t think that’s the problem although I may get some ph down to add to my next water. I broke down and hit them with some tiger bloom last night once I was sure the ph wasn’t completely out of whack. so hopefully that helps out but now I’m wondering if it could still be a PH issue.

Hobbit that’s crazy you got every plant pollinated on accident. Must’ve been really good pollen. My seeded buds have still been strong. The stuff that was real seed heavy wasn’t really smokeable though, so many seeds there was almost no bud.

Is the crude fuel mother plant strong? My triple cheese was the only one that didn’t produce active pollen but it was just a weak plant in general also.

it is a finicky strain for me.
i sprayed the tent down with a water mist to hopefully kill any pollen around, there are so so many not pollinated pistils i think it will be lightly to medium seeded.
im going to have to flip the 2x4 in probably one to two weeks to make up for what will be lost in yield in the other tent.

Looking good Hobbit!  I wouldn’t be able to not seed the whole room I just accepted it.

BPH I thought you were growing in soil? I’ve never concerned myself with pH when growing in soil.  The girls are coming along sometimes less is more.

When it comes to defoliation I only will take big sun leaves shading lower apical meristems to promote there growth, I will tuck tips and train to further help get them growing more.  I’m not certain why I’d chop off the solar panels of the plant but air flow and pests can be reasons for defoliation, it’s not a black and white do or do not it’s more as needed and needs vary for each plant, even clones of the same strain.

Getting little funky smelling in the neighborhood and the girls are swelling nicely hopefully I can be done soon move on to something new.  The buds look a bit different then they typically do when not pollinated.  put up the HPS and dropped the EC they seem to be drinking water pretty good and the reservoir pH drops at a fair rate compared to early stages.

My clones look like they will be fine, recovering nicely.

Brick weed seed plants are acclamating nicely, will plant them in full sun and in the ground this Saturday.

Man all your guys stuff looks great.

Idk what’s going on but this shit is plaguing me now.

Got new ph and ppm pens, started heating the water, brushed up on the basics to make sure I’m not missing something dumb :shrug2:

The only other thing I can think of to do is start monitoring the run off and try find some clues.
