Which dead songs cant you resist singing to?
    #2766344 - 06/05/04 04:02 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

I just cant possibly resist singing to "Row Jimmy", "Casey Jones", "Box of Rain"...(and probably more that I cant think of now) but row jimmy and Casey Jones are so classic gotta-learn-the-tabs-and-lyrics-and-play-and-sing-around-a-bon-fire-with-friends songs.

I got a thing for singing "You Aint Woman Enough"... even though singing it makes people looks at me strange

I took the horses up to the stalls
Went to the barroom, ordered drinks for all
Three days in the saddle, you know my body hurt
It bein' summer, I took off my shirt
And I tried to wash off some of that dusty dirt.

West Texas cowboys, they's all around-
With liquor and money, they loaded down.
So soon after payday, know it seemed a shame-
You know my uncle, he starts a friendly game,
High-low jack and the winner take the hand.......

My uncle starts winnin'; cowboys got sore.
One of them called him, and then two more,
Accused him of cheatin'; Oh no, it couldn't be.
I know my uncle, he's as honest as me,
And I'm as honest as a Denver man can be.

Look out of any window
Any morning, any evening, any day
Maybe the sun is shining
Birds are winging, no rain is falling from a heavy sky
What do you want me to do
To do for you to see you through?
For this is all a dream we dreamed one afternoon long ago

Walk out of any doorway
Feel your way like the day before
Maybe you'll find direction
Around some corner where it's been waiting to meet you
What do you want me to do
To watch for you while you're sleeping?
Then please don't be surprised when you find me dreaming too

"Love Light," i always get really into it and dance like crazy...i dunno just something about it...i love the Dead i cant wait until their show in August...oh yeah i got called a Deadhead for the 1st time ever today, i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing but yeah it was kinda intresting, i like the title, i just wish that it didnt come with the rep it comes with because i dont think theres anything wrong with having some fun, yeah my grandfather used to own a big venue in Atl and he tells me how all the dead heads fucked everything up and always got in alot of trouble, it kinda pisses me off but oh well hes old and hes a cool guy so other than that i like him...anyway i rambled for you guys hope you like it
peace

...all of them...

next question?

there is a few, like sunrise, mamma tried, and the space jam gets to be kinda much sometimes, unless if you are on some heavy duity acid or something.

well I always have to sing along to "Ruben and Cherise".... that's the song that whenever I get drunk, I grab an acoustic and start playing and singing along to, to the dismay of all my non-deadhead friends.... but fuck 'em! :gd_icon:
