What is that? False morel?
Golden ear - Tremella aurantia The Gyromitra looks more like the golden ear vs the Verpa that look more similar to the morel. Both you cannot eat.

Is that a fermenting batch of beer with mushrooms and weed in it?? I've got 10 gallons of sour beer bulk aging that I'm debating putting a dose of tea into a few bottles whenever I finally get around to packaging it

That’s not a bad idea! No it’s just a bucket of beer. It’s called Thors Hammer. Good shit, I’ve done it before. Should come out at about 6%abv. The last batch I did I think may have been slightly stronger as after about 2 pints it has you moving
Busy day tomorrow. I should hopefully be spawning my LAGM Nats, bottling 40 pints of beer and chopping down and drying a white widow auto.

A very clear visual reminder that a clone is not a mono culture… this is the first transfer from from a dish from a cloned AA+ fruit. I took a very small bit of mycelium (maybe 1/8 “ diameter) and these two sectors emerged. No doubt these represent more than two genetic pairs but they are certainly distinct. It’s also a good illustration that mycelium characteristics can be influenced by genetics as strongly or more strongly than environmental parameters like agar nutrient density:

(I think I know where I am going to transfer from. 🤣)

First time running oats, almost got some quarts fully colonized. In a few weeks I'll know if grain was my problem these past several months or something else.

oho. this means a clone is not necessarily a clone? or to put it differently, genetically the mycelium that you cut from the mushroom is always diversified or is this case a "rarity"? highly interesting..

Thought I had a mislabelled swab but not so sure now, these are supposed to be Yeti. From looking at various photos they do have the trademark sort of ‘castellated’ veil that seems to be pretty common with Yeti. Just not as albino looking as I would’ve thought.
Can anyone who’s grown a few batches chime in and give an opinion. Furthermore, they are growing very fuckin slow. I harvested some Jack Frost and OG TAT that was spawned at the same time about 5-6 days ago.
Here’s what they’re looking like:

Unknown mutation? Looks like a keeper. Seems like it wants a casing, maybe?

Probably the first thing I’ve grown that does look like it needs a casing! Yeah I’ll definitely have to take a few clones and a few swabs. They’re squat as hell. Looks like someone Rock stomped some Pearly Gates or something!

True, not a bad shout. You see I’ve been back to the vendors website and had a look at all the available swabs and I just don’t see it looking like any of the other available swabs. I think this was about T2-3 from swab as well so I doubt I’ve isolated something funky

They’ve not got much bigger since this morning. I’ll see what they look like in the morning and maybe harvest depending on what I see.
Won’t be happening tonight though as I’m doing very important research! 3G’s Jack Frost potency test, infused with ginger and lemon. Prepared a la Mushboy’s Making Shroom Tea Tek (gospel).
Wish me luck fellas!
Pic tax: 3G’s Jack Frost tea (Frosty, Fros-T! Yeah, point made I think )

Was planning on doing something with the fat in vitro pin I found in my oats anyway, and when I took it to the SAB today I noticed it had its own pin growing out of it. First for me.
