The Veil of Forgetfulness

Many people here and elsewhere speak of how when we are born we forget our past lives or pre-birth state in order to play the game here fully without distraction. Well now you guys have gone and done it. By pointing this out, you have spoiled the game and ruined the ending. But wait! How in hell do theses folks remember? Do they remember because of some cool book they read or drug they took? Was God somehow sloppy when lowering the Veil of Forgetfulness? Was he not powerful and/or vigilant enough to fully seal the veil? Are these New Agers more powerful than God's amnesia spell? And why are they going against his will by telling those of us who have yet to penetrate the veil?

It's like knowing the end of a movie. Just because you knows what happens doesn't change anything.

the 'veil' is a sort of obstacle that 'god' wants us to overcome - it's not meant to keep us in the dark forever (it's kinda like a test of spiritual strength or some shit)

No no no... only the "chosen" people can see that the veil is there in the first place. With some hard work and kegel exercises, these chosen ones can eventually push the veil aside.

It's like Max Headroom said...
If I believe that I am here to spiritually evolve and that this world is supposed to be hateful and negative, I still have to live through a bunch of crap...it just makes coping a little easier.
You should poke a few more holes in the veil that you have covering your eyes

When some idiot in the movie theater barks out the ending, doesn't your experience get a bit soured? Personally, I'd want my $12.50 back.

It's like knowing the end of a movie. Just because you knows what happens doesn't change anything.
The way I understand these "New Agers" is that it's not quite so much revealing the 'end' of this 'game', but moreso revealing what this game is actually about. To know the end (assuming there really is any true 'end') is to know the precise future in all it's details and intricacies, which is rather impossible. So from my perspectives on the New-ager's pontifications, we're all still playing in this great game of "LIFE", and still journeying into the unknown depths of the future in our vessels, only in a much more well-lit light. Of course, whether the 'light' is illusionary or not, is forever subject to debate.
Another shift in perspective brought to you by SkorpivoMusterion Inc.

True, but as God did not want us to know in the first place, is he losing his grip? Is he getting old and weak and now ripe for a coup?

I think it's most like a detective story...Bang! A shot in the dark, the lights come on, someone's lying dead on the floor, everyone's in confusion about what's happened. Some people see clues. I think physical reality (what everyone agrees on, what IS) is full of clues about what's behind it all. How stars look tiny to us but are really as powerful as the sun for example. That is one of my favorite clues. Eating mushrooms is like when the detective shines his UV light on the candlestick and sees hidden fingerprints. Here's another one of my favorite clues: Just my take.
