I turned up a bit late but now I know. They are out there. This will be my 4th year hunting, I have begun working so I have a bit less time but all good. There aren't many hunters in Whangarei on here, but ya local 19 year old hunter is gonna be out there. Happy hunting.

Christchurch also, we are more so late March/april,still too hot currently but hasn't stopped me having a look with all the rain and random temp drops. On the other side been plentiful shopping at the store, had a full off season of tas/anglos/stunzi 😍

I'd be interested to know the microclimate and weather conditions leading up to the subs fruiting. If anyone posting would be able to supply those details it would be of great help to the indoor fruiting of woodlovers effort.

IDK why so many people are obsessed with the idea of indoor woodlovers...
Never really understood the appeal of trying to fruit woodlovers inside, as they do so much better outdoors...
Seems like a waste of time to me.

Most of the attempts iv seen of indoor woodlovers over the years are pathetic yields of undesirable looking skimpy/unhealthy fruit. Weak ass hauls at best...

Great to have a healthy respect and awareness of the potential danger mindfuel, but you're not going to kill yourself by picking mushrooms, just don't eat them until you know what they are.

Dunedin may start the season early, yet they also finish up much earlier than the rest of the country...

It's all about the microclimate. You want moisture, humidity and temps below about 12C. Go checkout the official woodlovers thread in cultivation there has been a lot of work.
