Looks pretty cool but I'd guess this LC is bunk

How does one do this? Just clone a phenotype until it's spores almost always produce this pheno?

Nah, you can clone it to get more prints in order to stabilize it, but stabilizing is achieved through taking prints from a fruit showing the desired traits, growing those spores out and then doing the same thing over and over again until the does reliably produce those traits. There’s loads of people stabilizing crosses on the boards and they have threads dedicated to it. Ted’s TD is the first to come to mind

Alright last one of these. Noticed some poking out while moving tubs around, they’re super solid compared to the others for some reason. Probably being squished.

Nothing too wild, but my first go with nats. This was from a t1 and it was still all over the place. It’s my only tub I’ve got going right now, and I’m able to pull about this same amount every two days. Haven’t grown an active indoors in months. T3s are looking a lot more organized, but it came out pretty low on the mariculix.

Land Trout, that gnarly pheno is so cool.
Makes me want to go back to spores with Nats and see if I can get it as well.

Those are pretty sweet. Are the stipes dense or hollow?

They are hollow, and really brittle. They do look cool, Each pull fills up a quart mason, and the big ones fit perfectly. from a distance the jars look like my quarts of bolete so cool that we have another species that grows in the same conditions as cubes, I ran these just like i run normal cubes, aside from the tissue I'm transferring, they grow so fricken wild on agar. ill share some pics of my plates when I get some time.

Have you eaten any of that batch?
Now if that’s been tested and came up on the weak side, it would be interesting if you had a strong trip from them. They’re probably just weak cuz that’s been a fairly common report but it would be cool if that could kind of confirm if there’s something else working in them.
I can’t wait til these tests are more common.

Oh shit, that’s really cool you ran a test on them Land Trout. Very interested as well on how that compares to a taste test. Great that these tests are becoming more accessible to the public. I’m sure we’re going to start running into some question marks when the tests and bioassays are quite different. Exciting times honestly.
I did my usual .3g taste test on nats a few days ago and had a really nice buzz for about 3-4 hours. Usually when I test cubes at that dose it’s a decent buzz for the more potent cultures but the effects usually only last a couple of hours. Another thing I noticed that was quite different was how much smoother of a ride these seemed to be. With cubes I usually will have a nice feeling with intermittent waves of more intense effects. These were a very smooth up, plateau, and come down. Can’t wait to have a day to dive a bitter further in with a bigger dose.

Don't mind the ghost 😅 on the plate reflection I'm sure it's just a weird coincidence

Hindsight said: This species is definitely the most varied and weird that I have grown. Love what happened with this box:

how much light are they getting? mine is producing so much spores, I can't let it go for that long after cap opens.
But at the same time, my stipes are more of a "normal" look, not all stringy.
