I know they’re Nats.. they came from JAN.. I got two phenos from him.. these were more cube-like in his pic. There was light visual.. slight wall breathing type stuff and great buzz.. music was great. They reminded me a lot of tamps actually. I’ll do the traditional nat pheno at some point. I’m not disappointed.. it was a fun project.. plucked em

Oh speaking of which: I mixed 1.5g Tampas and 1.5g natalensis in a tea last week... like every other time I've done natals, the visuals were very light - but I do remember at one point there were very distinct CEVs of Celtic-style engravings on an orange/yellow rotating lattice framework. It stayed for a bit too (I suppose you'd call that the "peak" of the visual aspect). Alot of stuff I was looking at would seem to "swirl" together like on lysergamides. I usually get very noticeable auditory-effects with natalensis, however none were present this time.
Not really sure what to expect with the Tampas, as I've only done the fruits once (mixed w/pan cyanescens - the WILDEST ride imagineable) and the truffles a couple of times... I seem to get very uncomfortable on them honestly. That was the case with this trip as well, natals alone probably would've been a much more uplifting (or at least comfortable) journey.
Who here has mixed these with other species, and how was it?

Lol no one should doubt that they're nats or not based purely on that overlay. That would never happen with cubes. On the topic of trip experience, though - the potency of nats does seem to vary wildly. They could be as low as 0.5x cube strength to as high as 3x. Ime, what other people have been saying about gnarlier phenos being more potent seems to be true. The spaghettis from my first grow were piss weak compared to the gnarly, thicker nat that I decided to clone.
Would also like to mention that in the 2 times I've tripped on nats, both times I fell asleep during the come down phase. Out of my 30+ trips so far, that's only happened twice - one being with sclerotia.

I got a very interesting Nat mycelium! Called this one "Magic Ring". This is a T1. At first it colonized the plate VERY quickly, and also ate mold at the end of the colonization.
I transferred half of it to Rye. Couple of weeks later it produced this "ring" of pins.
I just Josex poked it to LC, and also transferred the 2 biggest pins to different agar dishes.
I have high hopes for this one

Started some new plates from spore of natalensis. Print was taken from 4 inch cap that was grown outdoor in my garden. They still producing outside too and its been in the 20s and 30sF at night lately. Bout to warm up to 70s this week.
Anyway yea. Lets see what I can pull from these, hopefully something interesting.
(before u ask, I did NOT purposefully make the agar this way. They fell over in my PC lol)

This Nat culture is a definite keeper, fruits like a beast with minimal overlay.

I plan to, though it will be a long time coming. I'd like a big overlay variety, a spaghetti variety, and a large fruit variety. Also factoring in potency. So much work so little time.

That’s why I decided to clone that round one.
Might not get around to it for a minute but it should be good for locking in a unique pheno.
Forgot to mention it last time, but the tissue was really weird when I cloned it. Inside the stem was like a cotton candy consistency.

Gonna send this LC to 4 quarts of grain in an hour or so.

I'm tempted to jump Nat to the front of the line. Maybe just one tub each set so I can still knock out my oldest work.

This species is definitely the most varied and weird that I have grown. Love what happened with this box:

Beautiful! I don’t get that very often - and when I do it is often plate fruits or invitro fruits. The stems are very satiny and a brilliant white with a hint of blue. Then the caps go from very pale to blue. They look potent AF but I’ve never eaten any…

Please keep me posted on how this goes. I immediately noticed my fatty Choad clone mycelium moved much slower that my normal NAT cultures. I have not fruited them yet to know if the “thick” was retained in the clone.
