Does anyone here have David Aroras Thick Mushroom Guide
    #2759879 - 06/03/04 07:26 AM (19 years, 9 months ago)

Mushrooms Dymistified,

Can someone who owns a copy of this book, post a copy of the picute labeld as PSilocybe cyanescens. IT is really a picture of the true look of Psilocybe cyanofibrilosa.

Paul Stamets took the photograph and Savid Aroa put it in his book in color and not only have I, but many others poiinted out the error and as of yet no one has corrcted it. So I would laask if someone here owns the book could they make a large copy and post it in here somewhere or in the grow log and photos forum.

Thank you,

mj

Here ya go.
This is from David Arora's "All that the rain promises, and more..."
Is it just my imagination, or do they appear to be coming out of straw?

Interesting...they look somewhat different, eh? Same author? Different books....?
I've never found these, so which picture would resemble most what I may be likely to see in the wild?

The picture you posted is of true P. cyanescens, I think it's the same pic as used in TMC. The one I posted is P. cyanofibrillosa mislabeled as P. cyanescens. You can find both species in the same types of areas, but the cyanescens seem to be much more common...
