This is just a quick note to let you know about some updates at Sporeworks.
We've added Amanita pantherina Spore Print Microscopy Kits to our spore selection lineup. Since this is a mycorrhizal species that naturally grows only in association with certain trees it would be extremely difficult cultivate under laboratory conditions. We are not aware of any information regarding the germination of spores. Mycelium will grow on PDYA (potato dextrose yeast agar).
This species has the same toxic hallucinogenic compounds as Amanita muscaria but in much higher amounts. Ingestion of large amounts of Amanita pantherina can be FATAL.
We've also returned Amanita muscaria spore prints to the Microscopy selection as well.
Agrocybe aegerita Spore Print Microscopy Kits have also been added to our expanding selection of edible prints.
As always we want to thank you for your continued patronage and support and we welcome your feedback and suggestions.
