Looks safe. I'm not buying it at the moment, but I am holding a stash of gold, silver and palladium that I have accumulated at various points over the past 15 years. Gold in particular is one of the few remarkably stable asset classes these days. And when you really zoom out on a 10 year chart, you can see a pretty epic cup & handle pattern has formed. For a long term allocator, this would not be a bad spot to accumulate.

Yes, I have transferred a significant amount of my assets (and the kids college savings) to gold.

All wise words, all things that you need to hear.
We are going to get graped in the wallet, there is no nicer way to say it.
The world is over 60 TRILLION dollars, that is sixty thousand billion, further in debt because of Covid in the past 2 years, and thats virtually all at once.
The ships cannot transfer the containers, they are afloat while much of the cargo, ROTS. Factories get supply chain issues, get raw material, staffing, transportation and demand issues. We have a chip shortage, Energy prices wobble out of hand because it too needs to be manufactured and transported.
People have these same issues.
We are headed for a CRASH, THE crash of the century and possibly the biggest one ever. One that will bring our society to its knees.
What can be done than print even more money to try avert the crash? There are no alternatives. This whole Babylon ponzi tower is shaking on its foundations. Everything that had girth to it has that girth taken out to save expenses.
Its a pretty good idea to invest in the following 3 things:
1) Acute personal family preparedness
2) Looking into investing into solid businesses and cryptocurrencies for profit.
3) Securing capital into hard assets like especially real estate and gold that will keep their value if
The big money maker right now is Cryptocurrency, thats why its already a trillion dollar market. Solid businesses are for instance food production.
If you make money, invest but also SOLIDIFY it in hard assets. If you're not yet in the right house, you got to get there.
Also, gold.
Its been recommended to me to stash an ounce of gold for every 10,000 bucks I should make. In dollars, that's 15-20%. It makes sense to me.
Here is some interesting food for thought:

Basic things are starting to get in short supply. We are about to start assembly on our new product line and the things thats holding us up are basic fasteners. There are no screws available anywhere.
Regular items take months to be deliverd if they are deliverd at all.
Also:
Mortage free appartment
30% money in the bank 30% allocated gold 30% crypto

You're seeing what I've been saying huh?

Thats the best. Security of residence, that you wont get homeless during the thick of it.

30% money in the bank is a big risk because if the financial system gets a shock, al banks at once make withdrawal impossible, a "bank holiday" right at the critical time. You'll have to pre-empt a sudden change, which can be hard.
30% allocated gold, that sounds healthy. Keep stacking as you rake in the profits!
The best day to have liquid capital is on the day of the crash. Thats when the big boys will be buying and the average invester is fleeced.

Well, I need some money somewhere
I could handle losing 1/3 of my assets no problem
Also being part of the Shroomery and all I'm sure we will be in the know just in time
A friend of my girl is deep into prepping and even storing fresh water and whatnot. Personally I have more faith in having items/knowledge that allow me to get the things my family needs.

I consider re-balancing a litte, I've gotten into PMs as the coof hit Europe, crypto only before that, because with a memorized seed, full disk encryption and a dead man switch for your encrypted computers, no one can seize your funds or even prove you own crypto (I run everything through XMR and CoinJoins, boating accident... ). I think of getting rid of some silver and buying gold. Way less bulky and easier to hide, they usually confiscate everything of value here, if they raid your grow op and I'm not going to give up shrooms...

I don't trade seriously anymore since losing a shit ton margin trading (total n00b then) in 2012 on Bitcoinica, only dabbled around on Bitmex two or so years ago, slightly profitable, but I hate that kind of stress.
I think there might be a double top forming, may be a chance to scoop up some below 20k and having a chance of MSTR getting REKT, then they have to liquidate their BTC, crashing BTC/USD further, Gox coins getting sold off then Tether ponzi going poof, meds...
