Beautiful cobweb (?) and mycelium divide
    #27635428 - 01/27/22 05:10 PM (2 years, 1 month ago)

A lot of my second batch of BRF jars got contaminated unfortunately, but on one of the jars, a beautiful divide has occurred:

Do correct me if my identification is wrong, but I believe that it is cobweb (top) meeting with healthy mycelium (bottom).

Though unfortunate, I find the divide beautiful and thought I would share it with you all!  :headbang:

It looks to me like the top and bottom are separated by bacteria.

The bottom has a wet bacterial look and the top colony doesn't. I'd say it is a divide between infected/non-infected myc.

Probably the bottom had much more moisture so the bacteria won there.

You're probably right! Here's some pictures before the progression of both the healthy mycelium and infected mycelium:

The top was always much much MUCH lighter than the progression of the bottom mycelium. I had a feeling this jar was gonna be a flop early on. Accepted it as a goner.
