Yeah, played center field with the old school Phillies cap.  But that is one of the great things about baseball is  the nostalgia of it.  How he ruined his life I get it, just dumb.  But to this season I just hope they play.  2 years without seeing in person one baseball game.  It sucks.  I really miss it.  And going to different ballparks and meeting different fans at sports pubs by the stadiums and talking baseball and sometimes with the old timers at the games and talking to them and those fans that give a shit about it and not to just show up like it is going to a movie.  Boring.

Shall see.  March is coming soon and they need the Spring Training to prepare.  Is just so relaxing to see a 2 1/2 hour N.L. game.  Is like therapy in a way but most of all fun.

LIMBO.  Trying to plan.  God help those that have season tickets.  Will be refunded sure, goes without saying, still.  If greed and fear wins out, wait, think it already has.

MLB, will they play?  Who knows?  Is the Show game worth spending up to a grand from a sticker price of 600?  No.  Think the owners win this time.  ON WITH LIFE.

Baseball has been losing popularity since the last lockout. The only thing that got it back is fake home run records.
I heard some sports guy say it will be OK if they get it settled this month and start playing real games in later April. He mentioned how early April games aren't a good idea in colder cities anyway.

I think the season should be shorter, but this isn't the way to do it. A shorter season would screw up records, but records are totally screwed up now. It's not just home runs. Nobody is ever going win 300 games again when you already know you're going to use 3 relief pitchers before the game even starts.

I agree with all that but when the Braves won goddamn I was born again!

Carlos from the Astros to the Twins.  Glad he is finally out of Houston.  Didn't expect Minnie.

PLEASE PLAY THE GAMES!  Mauer contract was idiotic.

Really am planning my next vacation around it.  There being baseball teams playing and not back to the best half season of baseball with the Expos.

That is great.  Two lost weeks whatever is fucking cold.  Making vacation plans for May.  For a sports fan and a game to through in is such a bonus to one's vacation experience.  They were selling Expos hats in L.A.  Might actually buy one and were it to a game.  And of course buy a great ticket and say some things that will crack people up on the field.  It is a fun to make people laugh.

Just don't beat up other fans.  Common sense to most.  No like they brought the Premier over here to the States.  Just enjoy the game.  Is OK to yell out once in awhile.

That is pretty funny for those that have HBOMAX with Robot Chicken and MLB names.  Is not on Youtube and is in robot chicken s11 e8:  May Cause Lucid Murder Dreams.  This other one not quite so much but still found it amusing.  Enjoy Opening Day in Mid-April I think it starts.  Am glad they decided to play.

God this is so stupid.

Ty Cobb as yeah.  And Califlower head.  And Dick shooter.  The line of thank God he didn't have the name in the internet age as he shoots one out with a homerun.  Oh it is so good to be home and not seeing endless Dodgers shit.

Freeman to the Dodgers.  Ugghh.  Not over it.

So new news, Ronald Acuna Jr. NEVER LIKED Freddie and WON'T MISS HIM.

Hey that is great.  Who the hell is going to play first base for Atlanta as opening day starts?  Money bags to guy in L.A.  Could of been a Chipper Jones and HOF career in Atlanta but L.A., go fuck yourself Freddie.  12 years as a Guardian, I mean a Brave.

The biggest villain in baseball.  Have a new respect for Bryce Harper.  Feeling adrenaline as the season starts to open despite the delay.  Is fun to play the game but at that level is something else.  And when I see him play, will cheer him not boo him or give shit to him.  God, they use to give Griffey Jr. shit for the inane things that don't matter in the game.  He is himself, I respect that.  And I finally get why he is like he is.

On to opening day in San Diego with no Freddie as it is against the Braves.  Guess I will find out who the Braves have there then.  Been since Covid since have seen a game in person and buying a great ticket.  This is going to be fun.  But not in that way.  Lol.  Is so great not flying to the East Coast.  Get through TSA and all that shit and there in no time.

I hate Barney so much it’s borderline enough to make me want to quit the sports forums. His stupid ass rambling fucking ruins every thread.

Opening day, that was special.  Now I get it why so many go to it and hang out before it on city blocks and shut them off to traffic.  Real sense of community and people chanting leaving the stadium in unison.

That was a great experience just as a human being.  Gives me hope for humanity and its future.:sunny:

Hernandez.  Wow.  Yeah these are people mainly in their 20's but I love how Turner just turns away in that part of it.  He is class compared to showing off.  Still on a high of seeing a game in person since Covid hit and a packed stadium.  So I booked one to S.F. and my ticket is ready.  And a place to stay out of the concrete with great shrubbery and on the ocean with a view of Alcatraz.  Not visiting it.  On the ocean, been before and they have a jukebox there and are finally reopening.  Used to be a fort for the military and now a hostel and they keep monuments around.

Glad to see San Fran the city opening up again and not like it has been for years.  Far to go but still, worth a plane ride.  Hate the DH in the A.L. and now we get it in the N.L. so people in their 40's can keep playing and making massive amounts of income.  Wonder if Posey will come back.  Games take long enough as it is.  Even left one at Coors to go to this great Irish bar and watched a few innings when living in Denver.

Makes me laugh a trip I didn't take because I had lsd at the time in younger years and my dad bought plane tickets for myself and my twin to see a Rangers game when he was on a trip there for work.  3 and a half hour game with him baking in the sun and came back looking as red as a lobster.  Still makes me laugh.  On with the season.  Really games should be the length of a movie, no longer than two hours IMO.  Plus the DH takes so much of the strategy away from it and of course, shorter games.

Plus while I am complaining why the ads on the mound the sides of the field?  I thought it was bad enough when they put the ads on the wall behind the catcher and they tried to with the bases and put ads on them, but somehow fans took a stand on that one and it didn't happen.  All the shit one doesn't need or want just shoved in one's face when one just wants to watch a ballgame.:beer:

God I pay for not seeing ads on Youtube and just stream everything.  Still can't avoid it.  Greed, is not good.

Congrats Miggy on 3,000.  Glad the Rockies won the second of the double header.  God there is going to be a lot of them this year.

But with respect to him.  3,000 and 500 home runs, only 7th to ever do that.  And to the best of my knowledge never tested positive or proof of performance enhancing drugs.

Remember when he first started with the Marlins.  Feeling old yet even then everyone knew, even the broadcasters that he was something special and especially talented.

Glad to see him do it to a basically sold out park at home in Detroit.

Alright!  Get to go from S.F. and one one of the best stadiums I frequent to one of the shittiest ones and this months vacation.  Oakland.  Haven't been there since I was a kid and the only stadium at the time that was worse was the Vet in Phillie in my memory and the most boring baseball game I saw in my life.  It was bad, I mean all around bad.  The talent on both teams, they were playing the Astros, and it showed.  And of course the field.  Even as a kid I was bored and thought, this is garbage.  But I saw the liberty bell and drank the worst tap water in my life in Phillie and I hate the East Coast so fuck it.  On with life.

Last day there Trout and the Angels and my Angels hat that I bought because I am a big fan of him.  Please stay healthy for the game.  After next year implode that joke of a stadium.  Enjoy your travels Shroomery people.

Coachella people.  I feel sorry for you.  After watching some Youtube vids on it, no.

Jack White here in Utah and Rodger Waters.  My concerts, since it is worthless to not be near the stage,  is good enough for me these warm weather months.  Shit.  San Diego and opening day with the Padres was frigid.  Wind chill of Chicago, not joking.
