MLB 2022 * 1
    #27632630 - 01/25/22 06:21 PM (2 years, 2 days ago)

Congrat David Ortiz on his first ballot Hall of Fame induction.  Who would of thought after Minnie?

On a down note all league facilities are closed and they are not even testing for steroids as the owners have locked everything out.  They may even cancel the whole 2022 season is the worst case scenerio.

Players Union and The Commish for the owners are is just like 1994 all over again.  Spring training starts in March but their is no contract and everything is locked with nothing to do with Covid.  Will be interesting how it all plays out.  Think the Expos with 1.000 fans a game with Pedro and Walker and many others in their prime would of won it that year but will never know.

But congrats to Big Papi.  Glad he didn't die at that club from a bullet wound in Puerto Rico.  Will always remember him down 3-0 and being the only team ever to come back from that in the playoffs and what he did in that series.

He deserved to be a first ballot Hall of Famer and he did it.

Schilling’s rejection is strictly political and has nothing to do with baseball which is complete bullshit.

How is it he gets in first ballot but Bonds just got officially denied for the last time? Fuck that nonsense.

You’re 100% correct. I dislike Bonds for breaking Aaron’s record but that doesn’t make any sense.

He got caught once but did it more than that of course.  But not to the level and time of Bonds, Canseco, and Clemons, Palmero, McGwire, Sosa, etc.,  is why would be my best educated guess.

I think the Gods of baseball made a merciful choice for Big Papi and his atonement in this case.  Sorry, living in Utah and that Sunday religious ferver is coming up.  But seriously I think he did it for awhile as a nobody in Minnie and got good and went to the Red Sox and gave it up.  Advanced in his skills and progressed normally.  Pudge is in the same catagory.

But who knows?

Just wondering if they are going to play baseball this first part of the year and how long till a contract is done.  If they fuck it up like the last strike will be interesting to see how it all turns out for the sport.

I enjoy it.  I'd miss  it. Yet, I can go without it.

The roids question is a yes or no, saying he might have done it less shouldn't qualify him. Especially since all he was was a damn DH. Ortiz actually tested positive, Bonds was never technically proven to have taken anything.

Bonds was hands down the most feared hitter of all time and his defense was top tier as well. Homeboy earned HOF before the roid era even started.

Then you add the fact that the ENTIRE LEAGUE was on the shit, including pitchers who dont seem to get called out for it.

The real reason he didnt get in is because he didnt suck up to the media. Buncha political BS.

Barry the GOAT, fuck what they say.

"Then you add the fact that the ENTIRE LEAGUE was on the shit, including pitchers who dont seem to get called out for it."

WTF are you talking about?  Did you even read my post?

Basically anyone that matters in the MLB world, who thoughts on it matter have made their views be known.  Are you part of the election process for the HOF?  I DON"T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS SO SAYETH ME AND TRUMP IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. SO SAYETH ME.

No one gives a shit.  People with dominion and authority have spoken, period.  But Barry always stuck it to the media.  And he loved his teammates, especially Kent.  It was never about him but he will always be the best in your heart.  Plus he never one a championship.  Though when he was gone and no team would sign him SF started winning them every other year.

Really don't care of what you feel should be compared to what is and reasonable and has logic to it.

I bought a ticket in left field to see him play back when everyone was holding up fake blow up syringes and signs.  Just to see the spectacle though I go to a lot of games in Denver.  He was 0-4 I believe and just got tired of the crowd.

But his legacy.  Yeah.

Clemons, place sold out to watch him pitch at Coors.  Blah.  Basically every pitcher had a fear of that place before they started humidify the baseballs to make up for the altitude.  In a World series against the Mets, Pizza catcher that threw out one in 50 stealing attempts, and the Yankees 4-1, that is roid rage.  Throw it at him, lol.

Bonds couldn't even make it in retirement as a batting coach for the Marlins for a million a year, more than any coach and manager on the team for showing up late, skipping meetings and basically not giving a shit.  I don't think he has his whole life as a privilaged kid with a dad that was a great baseball player not using the roids.  At least McGwire had some integrity to him but he didn't make to the hall either and deservedly so.

On a different note, please play baseball this year MLB owners and MLB players union.  With the world closed need some breaks to go see some baseball games.

Be an asshole, crowd the plate with body armor so pitchers can throw in, and take massive amount of Roids.  His head turned into a light bulb shape.  During those hearings you are telling me he didn't look nervous?  Actually doing some time and the HOF didn't even ever come close to voting him in?

How about how awesome and amazing and that A's championship and Jose Canseco was?  Best player of all time.  Let us start a Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco shroomery love fest about how great both were.  But at least one was honest and has a championship ring.  Good for Jose.  Plus he sold a lot of books of injecting others in the ass.  Great reading.

I have been over it for a very long time and the only thing that brought it to mind was his last 10 year chance to be elected to the Hall Of Fame.  That shit really matters to players and a lot of fans of the game.

Most feared hitter of all time.  How many championships did he help bring to San Fran?  Well, Angels series was great but 0.  How many has SF won since the second most roided up person in all of baseball with his whole arm covered as well win?  Quite a bit.  Fuck him.

Cheers to bulb head.

From what I've been reading, whenever the lock-out ends, the NL will have the DH.

Also, some of the high minor leagues will be having technology call balls and strikes this year.

Yeah, but they would have to give into a pitchers count or other things.  A lot on the table.  I like the N.L. as I grew up on it and all the strategic play involved managing it.  I know it is not a response to me but it has always been for the players union to have the D.H. to get players more money and extend their MLB contracts so they don't have to be in the field.  The D is so horrid.

Just wondering when the season starts.  No D.H. for the N.L.  I despise it in the A.L.  Just please start playing in April.  Time off games?  Get rid of the D.H. in the A.L. or boring as fuck and that would be great.  But not even on the table.

If one is crippled to a point where one can't field after a long and grinding career pinch hit.  And be a bench player, but no money in that.

Yes it's inevitable because it's the only way the MLBPA is going to settle.

True.  Just amusing when the greed gets to the point where no one gets anything.  Time frames on the body.  Like one against the strike back then that said fuck it I am playing before he couldn't,  Said I want my 121,000 a game I don't care.  Played for the Phillies and won a championship with the Mets and was my favorite player growing up but had a gambling problem among other things and is in prison now for fraud.  As not really an integrity type person.

And yes he is a sleaze.  Had to ask his mother for money when broke and in debt.  I copied his batting style.  Can see why he hit so high with average and a great fielder.  Can see the ball so well.

Good old Lenny Dykstra now rotting in Prison.

Still, a lot of athletes like Fielder Jr. doing so well but father goes to the Bellagio and wastes millions in one night.  Greed takes many forms no matter how much money one has of course.

All that is besides the point, just greed in general.  Just play the games within reason on both sides.  If they don't , especially with the hardships going on with Omicron and and financially, it will be worse than 1994 if they do it again.  Won't be much sympathy.

Just please play this year teams.  Would be great.  I need the breaks in life to just relax and see some MLB games in person.  Like oh so many fans.

I always liked Lenny Dykstra AKA Nails. His life really spiraled out of control and he screwed up really bad.
