I ordered some agar plates in the mail that came all frozen , I thawed them out and half of them aren't gel anymore

From a vendor? Have you asked if they’ll send replacements?  It’s not your fault the package arrived in such bad condition.

True that I was thinking maybe it would just be better to pour my own and go that route, does anyone have any good suggestions for places to get good reusable petri dishes?

I use THESE

it's not 100% clear, but clear enough to see what's going on inside. 

I wrap them in a stack of 6 in foil, and sterilize them in instapot for 30minute.

downside is there will be some condensation in the dishes after you sterlized them, and you won't get perfectly glossy agar surface because of that, but not a huge deal for me.

I am going to start making my own but the mail has been SLOWWW where i live but when i ordered and i have gone through some plates trying to learn and the best i have used BY FAR were from TIP OF THE CAP.. always always good.
