God is a Squirrel * 1

We see squirrels planting tree seeds in clearings. The upshot being there will be more trees to find delicious nuts on.

Dividends then is the angle by which we proceed. What dividend can you provide God who enjoys nuts?

There's a squirrel soul that owes me liberation.

If you can't see God in goat shit, you don't fully understand Him.

Creatures of habit enjoy familiar nuts. How would I enjoy your liberation?

Well in this case the young squirrel went first. I brought it in from a freezing rain. There was not much life left, and I chanted a liberating mantra. When the eyes glazed over in passing, in them I thought I saw an expansive light. I kid in saying it owes me, but hopefully such things tend to come back around.

You'd like some Hare Krishna's to chant over your death bed; that shouldn't be too hard

It's true that an absence of light can produce bigger nuts so to speak. I have a tarp I throw over my garden trellis to ward off the deer overnight and sometimes I forget to remove it resulting in bigger squash flowers. There's a metaphor in there for those who can perceive it. I wrangled over excrement supporting existence without arriving at a solution I was satisfied with; sure, excrement can support a class that thrives on it but it can't be identified as the only or even primary basis for existence.

Even the squirrels helped build Rama's bridge, bringing sand and small rocks. The birds fought, the bears, vanars. Ravana, iirc, was by boon not possibly defeated my humans, in part the reason why Shiva incarnated as Hanuman, a vanar, all to rescue Sita, the daughter of the earth, from abduction by the ten-headed demon of the ego.

I think the animals could represent the unconscious, or every cell of the body, tuned to agreement.

So you're saying that Sita is dominated by the ego as evidenced by her vanity and Shiva is going to save her from that. lol

Sita could represent the individual soul abducted by ego.

The stories are used for atonement. It is our subjective view which could make them useful.

Atonement to the tune of $ is the modern answer to the ego's desire for revenge. A system that undoubtedly favors the wealthy.

Atonement in the sense of "I feel guilty and wish to make amends" excites the ego's penchance for punishment.

So maybe a sense of guilty conscience is all that a sensible person needs.

I mean atonement more in the yogic sense, realizing nature of mind, that internal error is illusory.

"Loving your enemy" for me means accepting that they can operate with a different philosophy.

Of course everything is about domination; their philosophy wants to dominate yours.

In fighting my ego I can allow karmic tendencies to surface in the relationship.

Of course the dominating prevalence of opinion is to downplay the role of karma in favor of a selfish advantage.

Coming up is "satisfaction in the self, or be subject to sorrow." I don't know if everything is about domination anymore.

The ego, my ego, has been adept at maintaining that the natural state is unavailable, far away. Yet even through my skull it must eventually sink in - it is as available and as close as the breath. We think we can't be in the natural state unless in some rare high samadhi, yet existence itself is in the natural state. That's us, now.

Even more counter to the ego, letting go into That, union, formlessness, death, what have you, is the best and only fulfillment of the ego need. So freaking opposite to what it does.

Furthermore, I think all relationship xyz are solved in the spirit. Love is not lost but perfected.

When we accept money for damages then it is to our advantage to get hurt. That can be a basis for satisfaction of a sadistic impulse with a clear conscience.
