Can anyone pinpoint exactly when the Mainstream narrative changed to becoming unvaxxed spreading the disease? I'm trying to get my head around this. I don't remember any particular studies coming out in the press. Why don't they reference these studies in the news?
Also, why don't they highlight adverse affects from vaccines in the news? They'll highlight a 35 year old in intensive care (supposedly from Covid) for example.

I miss the old pandemic. When we had fun learning how to wash our hands.

Because there is no such thing as a perfect lockdown. Even China had soldiers patrolling the streets to enforce their lockdown, soldiers that were not, themselves, locked down.
Covid has won. Humanity has lost. There was a time when covid could have been stopped, but we collectively decided, through our "leadership", that the profits of a few were worth more than the lives of the however many and counting.
Since then, that same leadership, while no longer in power, has decided that the best way to regain power is to continue to sacrifice the lives of their supporters. This is why, I no longer give a shit (and have not for some time now) when an antivaxxer dies of covid. Fuck em. I see the rising case counts and the rising deaths, and I don't really care, because they're almost all antivaxxers.
I'd even go so far as to say that I am in favor of dead antivaxxers. This is natural selection. Evolution, if you will. Plus, it basically means dead republicans, and every dead republican is one less republican vote. It's essentially a win-win situation.
My only concern, right now, is whether we will have one or two covid seasons per year in the future. My initial guess was a flu season and a covid season, but it looks like we might have a fall covid and a spring covid, plus a flu season. That would be a little bit more annoying.

Well if a lockdown can’t be perfect then why bother
Sure, China has basically eradicated Covid but they didn’t do it perfectly so fuck it

So true, and at this current moment, our government would rather let hundreds of thousands more Americans die than spend money to make sure they don’t,

He's saying "supposedly" because the vast majority of any person under like 60 in the hospital is being treated there for another more serious ailment than covid. You do know that koodz.

As I said earlier, it is too late for a lockdown. Socially, politically, and epidemiologically.
Covid is endemic. That is a fact. You can do a lockdown, and there are enough pockets of sick people that covid will survive and spread again as soon as the lockdown ends.
At the same time, a lockdown will be ignored by everybody under the age of 35 and everybody that votes republican. Republicans have been vaccinated against basic measures to limit the spread of disease, just look at the above poster. People are literally refusing to believe that covid is dangerous, even as they die of covid. Young people (including me) are fed up, because I've been going out of my way to keep my neighbors safe, and they've done literally nothing. It's Sisyphean. I don't want to do another lockdown, because that just means I shut down my social life yet again for no reason. Like I said earlier, I don't give a fuck about my neighbors anymore. The smart ones all got vaccinated and will be fine. The idiots will die, and that is a good thing.
You are operating in a fantasy world where people give a shit. People do not give a shit. Either because they never gave a shit, or because they're burn out of giving a shit. Another million Americans will die. Get over it. You will not stop it, we will not stop it. You just get out of the way, and hope that you and yours are not part of that statistic.

Everything played out more or less as I expected except there was never a regretful panic moment where everyone finally realized how foolish we were followed by a rapid breakdown of society. Instead we kinda nonchalantly trundled through the shit until everyone was covered in shit and there was no point in trying not to be covered in shit anymore because shit is everywhere. The bleach drinkers won and thier prize is death in inordinate number compared to general population.

I can’t imagine why half the country believes this virus is overblown when all indications from our institutions is that life should go on practically unaltered. Or that the first instance of free medical care they witness in their lives is to combat a disease that their employees don’t even give them time off for having, or doesn’t merit their children’s schools closing.
The Democrats doing an OBJECTIVELY worse job at handling Covid than Trump did, and playing it off like everything is cool, just confirmed to half the country that the liberals only played up the virus to politically damage trump, another objective fact.

Arguably, it's the same 'play' going on in most other parts of the world. We've to 'fear the disease', yet somehow carry on as normal and be a good, contributing citizen.
You raised a good point earlier regarding governments not willing to spend extra on the seemingly overwhelmed healthcare providers. I'm tired of hearing about the burdens on the healthcare system. It's up to the powers that be to invest more, if this really is the problem that it's made out to be! They should be investing more in it anyway; besides Covid!
All this talk about vaccines, the nature of the disease and blaming others, is all bullshit distraction. Look at the FACTS. An overwhelmingly minor disease that's taking centre stage over other more pressing issues; both in healthcare and human rights.
You'd best believe that the 'powers that be' are still making other plans in amongst this debacle. Land, money, and power grabs are in big business right now. It's time for people to open their eyes to the bigger picture.

Look there’s just nothing we can do except cut taxes on the rich, deregulate, privatize, and increase the military budget. Anything else is fantasy and/or the fault of the working class.

“Those numbers show that omicron is as deadly and causes as much serious disease in the unvaccinated as delta did. … We have over 100,000 children in serious condition and many on ventilators.”
Justice Sonia Sotomayor (during oral argument - Supreme Court, Jan. 7)
This morning, Michelle Weleski, Director of the CDC, had to admit this is misinformation and the number is likely around 3,000. She also said she has no idea if there are large numbers of kids on ventilators.
Kudos to the very Democrat leaning WAPO for fact checking Sotomayor!

So you've done your bit by getting the jab? What should they invest in if there's no way of stopping this circulate?

Looks like a lot of people died to me. Looks like deaths have gone down with omicron. Fingers crossed it mutates into a more transmisable less lethal variant.
