What should I include in my Graphic Design Portfolio?

I'm really trying to get into this career and since I have yet to obtain my Bachellor's, I'd like to keep a portfolio handy to prove my skills. What types of work do employers like to see in a Graphic Design portfolio? I'm guessing magazine covers, fake (example) logos, stuff like that? Any suggestions? I really need to get this ball rolling.

You should just give him all your photoshop work of Gair and SKoTT to pass off as his own

If you include a nice pair of tits, you'll pass for sure.

Design advertisements for real or made up products/companies.
Try a "campaign" of several different ads/spreads for the same product but with different themes or variations; likea series of ads which couild be run consecutive days or weeks.
Throwing in new/updated logos or brands could look good, too.

Depends on what kind of job you are applying for, really.
Making a PORTFOLIO and then never changing from interview to interview is a bad idea. Unless you're going into an area that is really broad like advertising. You can generally include lots of different things; logo designs, photography, ad layouts, ad campaigns (ad agencies like those a lot).
But really, you should try to specialize your portfolio for each job you apply for. For instance, I create tshirts for screenprinting, so when I applied for this job, I included designs I had done previously at another screenprinter since it was related to the job I was applying for and the skills I would need there. I also included various examples of vector designs that I had done to show I had the ability to create vector art, some pencil drawings, and a few photographs to add some balance. Its alright to put in a few odd things you might have if you think they are really worth showing off, but the bulk of your portfolio should reflect the kind of work you would be doing if you were hired there.
Hope that helps a little!

Have an online portfolio. Make a website and put your best work on it. My cousin reccomends this now, since she had years of portfolio work thrown away and sold by her moms jerk, cokehead, ex-boyfriend.

First of all, your portfolio should have examples of your work that can demonstrate the style in which you work.

Ha! I can't believe how young I was when I made this! I bailed on graphic design quick. Now I'm an IT Admin at a small school, and I'm loving it.

Just as much diversity of work as you can imagine - (I do art/graphic design as well!)
I.e. 1 business card, 1 event flyer, 1 work of art, 1 logo, 1 video, etc etc.

I'd love to see an example of your work
Oh fuqq 15 years fuck me lmao nice
