I'm of the opinion that the world would be just a little more awesome for you if you gathered more information and saved it more often in a more secure form.
The way I look at it is that you can look up anything you want so why not save it so that you build a massive library and if everyone else did the same then all that information would be even easier to find and it would be easier to share!
On top of that you are saving the information because the good pages get pushed down the list in the search engines or they disappear entirely!
You can copy and paste stuff then print it out! I've made awesome little books of info on the cheap and given them as Christmas presents.
Do that more often and you have a valuable resource, thank you.

At one point in time I was obsessed with gathering information from the internet to create a be-all end-all guide to life for people. It proved pretty challenging since when I would copy and paste information I would end up with all sorts of problems...documents would get very long and this could really slow them down...sometimes almost to a complete halt.
Needless to say I was just hell-bent on my duty to save this information, organize it, and go share it with the world and I could care less about how it got done so I struggled forward...
...I was, for lack of a better term, "crazy" at the time. I had a shitty computer and I was living at my parent's...I would fast for 5 days at a time sometimes just because of my mindset. I would stay up for 3 days at a time sometimes.
I really wasted a lot of time running head first into the the task of gathering and organizing all the useful info, or what I deemed as the most useful info.
What I learned from that experience is that slow and steady probably ends up winning the race...
...now every day I find at least one decent link on something new and I save it, then once in a while I copy and paste all the useful text from the linked article, as well as any useful pictures. The plan is to try and keep it all organized and correlated and print off books and booklets once or twice a year to add to the little library.
Since the books and booklets are private and solely for the purpose of education you really should never run into any copyright issues. The hard copies are great to own in my opinion.
I've expanded beyond this kind of thing to also work on organizing myself better as well. I think changing your habits slowly but surely can be done with many different strategies but I like to plan my ways of life, it may not go according to plan but it keeps me focused on it.
The Shroomery search feature can be quite an awesome tool for looking up lots of subject matter. Sometimes you'll find much better results searching here than other search engines.
Search engines used to be awesome but now I'm quite at a loss with those...I use duckduckgo or sometimes just ecosia for the added benefit of "planting trees"...but I couldn't tell you a thing about them...
...what I could tell you is that my experience of the internet for the past 20 years or so has changed so drastically, and not neccesarily for the better.
From my perspective, my opinion is that information is getting more spread out and less organized, harder to find basically. I'm sure there are still good sites out there doing good work and adding to their own databases but it seems that the days of doing a simple search and finding 3 to 5 awesome websites right away with all sorts of information on the topic are gone.
Cherish a good website, such as this one. It seems extremely fruitfull if not more so to save and organize the good websites you find and even donate a little something to them, even of it's just words of encouragement.
What are your thoughts? I would say now days there are too many blogs and websites trying to sell things and make money....as well as too many "mainstream" websites. It can water things down but the good stuff is still out there for sure.
Would love if we could all could share some of the best informational sites we have here...
