Here we go again. With each hunt I come closer to understanding these little guys. With each outing I learn more about their habitat. I just need to start finding actives. ugh.

Habitat: East of DFW, in cow field growing directly from the dung. It was not fresh dung that any of these were growing from. Near a creek, always under the shade of trees. Most the time the patties that had the most mushrooms where the ones on mud under the shade of a tree not in grass.

DAMN IT. It will not let me post my pics. I click the browse button and it does nothing. I am going to post this but dont flame me i am working on the pics. If anything, i will email them out damnit damnit damnit

Characteristics: Two distinct different types. Type A two inches tall at most. Cap is inch across. Tan stem Tan/peach cap that is cone shaped. Dark gills.

Type B is different. Most abudant but also the most fragile little things i have ever seen in my life. Two to Three inches tall. White stem. Cap is dark black/blue and curls up ward as mushroom gets older. Probably thousands of these things out there. In my paper bag the caps kind of got trashed and melted... They are there they just fell of the stem.

Neither i can tell if they blue or not.

Spore print for type a is running right now type b i have to find a cap that is still whole.

Smell: Type a has no smell i can tell of. Type B smells very good like fresh rain.

I am not expecting much but i will try again next week..... IN COSTA RICA HA HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Talked to a Tico buddy, and Arenal is having some amazing grows these week.

I am trying with a different browser...

Type A

Type B close up

Damn digital slr.  Even when i compress these things down the files are huge.  I might go buy a p.o.s. digi cam just to have low res files.

If you want more pics, which i am sure you will, please pm me and i will follow your strict instructions perfectly

And i will let you all know the color of the spore prints in a bit.

Also the spore print for type A is dark purple/black. Its honestly hard to tell.
Type B is really hard to do because of the condition the caps are. I believe though its black.
