As much as id like to take credit, it was my girl that spotted the patch (even though i was doing all the research and legwork). but as much credit as she takes, i like to think it was the genuine goodwill of all you shroomerites collective consciousness hookin a brotha up!
I love Avery 's albinos, had fun playing with them and everyone who tried them were pleasantly surprised!!!
Evly, keep posting those beautiful mush pics. Love seeing them.

Gotta love the GA! Based on your finds from last year this is a month early. Do you think itโs from the mild winter, or you just got the spots nailed down? I hate that I almost went hunting today...

Last season I hadnโt even bothered looking this time of year, so no telling when they may have actually started to pop up. I really wasnโt expecting to find anything out today. These are a hardy species

You won't know if you dont look, right! If environmental conditions are right, they will fruit. Keep'em coming, let's see just what their season is, if they have one.

damn! it seems they sprayed this white antifungal shit all over the woodchips throughout this immense subdivision i check. man evly, i bet you could start some kinda guided psilo hunt expeditions. like people could pay you to come find the cluster spots in their area. the temperature down here during the day is 30-50ish but some nights it was getting down to the upper 20s

yep that sounds about right for recent temperature range. that day was particularly cold though you could tell theyd been there for some time, prob exp that full range of temps from 20s-50s. There were others that were completely rotted and after recent downpour found a few spots completely submerged in water.

Wonder why they will not fruit here until towards the end of April?
I know my grow zone has go to be the same as you all's, zone 7.

I want to know ground temperature, that's going to be much different than air temperatures and will affect fruiting and colonization.

Been a lurker here and there for a few years, recently read through East Coast ovoid thread โ21 &โ20โฆhaha, joined up just to participate in this here โ22 thread
Iโve been thinking about soil temps too, found a map layer on meteoblue.com
Here is a sample screen shot focused on Georgia , from yesterday. Not sure how often it updates but today is different for sure.

Sunny south facing areas in zone 6b can start early April. But the creeks i hunt are well shaded and don't start until later in May.

For sure! Being in the Atlanta area, I know I would love for him to take me on an expedition. I had some good luck back in October, but have been completely dry since then, and I'm seriously craving some heady times.

First time hunter this year, Northeast 7a. Hopefull about a spot I found in the fall.
Best part is there is a ovoid ID confirmed a few hundred feet away on wood chips!
