Poster number 1:
:laugh:hey there, this is how I see the world and how things are progressing:

Oh, I disagree for these reasons:

***Eventual conclusion that you aren't going to reach a concensus and hopefully a realization that you have no idea what's going to happen.

I declare this post to be proof of this forum's worthlessness.

If you don't like it....why do you post here so often?

Mixomatosis,
I think you're just experiencing a bad phase of your existence, I know that one day you will understand that communication IS NOT pointless, unless you feel that you yourself are pointless, if you do then its a different question, an existentialist question.

"I think you're just experiencing a bad phase of your existence"

hey brah, I think you need to crank up the "pretentious hippy" dial a little bit louder, I cant quite hear you.

Okay, listen to this, here is a story from my bless-ed childhood.

One day during when my Dad and his friends were building my families home (take note of that hippies). Me and a friend were playing the back yard, amidst dirt and rubble and scrap wood etc.

We were pretending to be giants, building up little civilizations and then crushing them wth our fists of omnipotence. My friend, who was on a hill above me decided to advance his destruction skills through the use of weaponry, so he picked up a peice of cut 2 by 4 and flung it down upon his unsuspecting love children.

the 2x4 looked like this <===.

He missed his target (or did he?) and the sharp end of the wood block struck me in the forehead, tearing the skin open and creating a very large mound of puss, blood, etc.

I, being the schoolboy that I was, began to cry and panic because of the pain, and ran around screaming in a adrenaline daze.

You know what my father did? well, he didnt treat me like a useless little coward and try to comfort me and say "oooh oooh baby, dont worry, shhhh shhhhh, its okay".

He grabbed me and slapped me across the face and yelled "CALM DOWN!!!".

and I did, and during that moment, my thoughts were so clear that I could understand the relevance of the clouds up above me.

YOU DIG?????????

Yeah I dig, like most other mean-hearted conservatives you had a loveless upbringing. That's made you the tough guy you are today, and there ain't no room for whining liberal pussies in your little world. Blah blah blah

Hahaha, yes in a humourous way that is probably not a bad prediction.

And even further into the future, I think that everyone may end up with enough of a handle on the problems of uncertainty, and the inherent difficulties in language itself, ultimately leading to the forum just becoming completely silent, with nobody posting anything at all...

Jono.

yeah, its true, Im a vicious blood-drinking, fountainhead-thumping neo-con who just happened to vote Green in the last election.

(sigh)

I'd like to be able to peep into your skull and find out what drives you to make such bizarre and grossly incorrect conclusions.

Funny how some people demonstrate the exact opposite of the ideals they preach? shite innit?
