Guys, do any of you work with unmodified lids?
My last batch of jars basically went to shit due to dust mites (or something similar) getting inside and spreading molds. It almost never happens in the summer, but in the winter the room is quite humid so there's more mold spores, and also these tiny fuckers.
I will try to move my jars elsewhere, but if that doesn't help, I'm afraid I'll be kinda out of options. Ideas? (besides modifying the lids)

Probably a grain mite, are they red in color, white, I guess it doesn’t really matter other than they are a major pest.
I used to get major infestations of winter grain mites in fall / early winter after they harvested the corn fields behind me. Exterior of my house would be covered in them. I was growing canna at the time and they tore up a lot of plants.

Could have been better but not too bad for my first grow.
MS Ape > Agar > 2qt Wheat > S2B
Total dry weight = 50.95g

Thank you.

This is a shoebox of Taman Negara that I am growing on a substrate of store-bought cow manure and vermiculite (about 50/50, pasteurized). Apart from the bruising and the surface damage on the bottom right (which was from me soaking up excess water that had pooled on top), I am happy with how this substrate has come out so far.
My main motivation for trying store-bought cow manure is that it's dirt-cheap (literally cheaper than soil) and readily available everywhere. I bought a massive 50-lb bag for about three bucks. Even though it's not on the same caliber as horse manure from the community's perspective, I think it can be worked with easily especially at a smaller scale. You can add more vermiculite to the blend to achieve a consistency closer to coco coir.
The right kind of cow manure is the one that is dry, aged, and smells/looks/feels like soil. It should not smell or look like manure at all.
I originally used this store-bought cow manure for pans, so I figured it should be sufficient for cubes as long as you pasteurize it and achieve the right consistency with it, which frankly might be slightly above field capacity.

Finally got around to running PEU.

I was expecting the two tone blue/gold caps but I’ll take dark brown with polka dots.

That’s a pretty nice peu pal.. caps are great
Pea+ f6 second flush.. pretty decent considering the first flush was a carpet of pins.

Wouldn’t mind a tub of those big guys in front. Prepping materials for f7 run rn
Got good germ on these PE/F+ double swab cross attempt CV/brf cakes.. finally found some 1/2 pint wide mouth jars.. gonna look nice with these double stacked in a 2.5 gallon ziplock.. should fill out nicely.. hopefully they get to that point

Never heard of that variety. Beautiful blue bruising too!

Very ambitious. I did spend most of this year doing agar work which looks like it has paid off.
The clones from this grow are looking beautiful on agar. It will be great to fruit them and see what pops up.

I inoculated this jar with Ps. subtropicalis culture in late July and have been consolidating it since early September. Finally I began fruiting, continuously adding more layers of substrate material to delay mushroom formation even further. I harvested today. This is already an extremely potent species in my experience so I'm excited to take a nibble.

Adas: Theyre beautiful! Golden stipes, red/brown caps with insane universal veil remnants ("warts") all over... I always wondered if that was a genetic feature, or environmental?
Mycoplex are you planning on taking any prints from these? This one's been on my radar because of the aforementioned features.
multifractal: Sweet! Looks like it's a good fruiter. My subtrops' spore-plate colonized nicely, I'll be putting them on grain next week sometime. Thank you btw
Here's those contaminated Z strain:

They look leucistic or sporeless... tempted to clone, but uhhhhhh idk if you can clone from a contaminated substrate? Anyone have any thoughts here?

@Artemesia, yup I'm planning on printing them in case you wanted a print.
I'm looking for a specific phenotype of this variety where the caps are very very dark brown and speckled with bright white dots. If you google image search for this variety it's what some of the first few results look like.
I like phenos that have this "rustic" look to them. If I am lucky to get this pheno with Taman Negara I want to try crossing it with another rustic pheno I got from Tasmanian variety as shown here:

sweet, dood...
umm, i'd be interested...if you're feeling generous. I am looking for a new project for LAGM22.
And now:
FINALLY, after specializing in trich farming for a couple of months [ ], I have two sweet shoebox pinsets of Golden Mammoth and one ALCA pinset in a FahtLoc. The dark rings surround individual millet grains that were on top of the pseudocasing.
GM1
GM2
ALCA

This week I been a busy Vator: 20 quarts of Crack millet. 16 3Ts plus 2 quarts of oats. And I just xfered Ecuadorian from a germ plate to six T1s, 6 T1s of Oysters from a farm purchase dinner buy, and12 Enigma T1s from clones from my Enigma grow. That Enigma shit is the bomb: 1.97g dry tea and I had CEV in 8 fucking minutes. Nice trip Gonna try 2.5g in tea soon. I am grateful to the source.
Just noccd 8 jars of reishi from an LC that I think tested clean a month or so ago. Did two streak plates to check while waiting on the grains.
Thanks for everything, y'all konw who you are.
