Less spawn seemed to help some, if I still had the culture I’d probably try mixing the spawn with a little coir so that layer was like an inch deep and then adding a couple inches of only coir on top. I have no reason to think that would help either but it’s about the only thing I didn’t try. At the time no top layer was the thing.
I tried the couple inches top layer and the surface got trich before the sub fully colonized

I don't think I've spent so much time on one single thread on any forum....
from page 155 to 161, few people talked about it's potency and quality of trip, anymore update from the ones who tried them?

1" coir top layer worked great for me.

Natalensis on hay-manure from spores to fungus. The norms are growing, but the cake dries quickly-it was enough for a couple of waves. We'll try it soon and find out how strong we are.

Adrenognome: What kind of casing, and how did you prep it?
MycoWeek: I did ~20g (fresh) the day after I had ~the same dose of fresh cubes (PF Ecuador). They seemed to get me to at least the same level, though it had more audial effects (strange whizzing tones, like the beginning of Rush's "Tom Sawyer") than the cubes and as others have said, it felt much more mellow & chill. Eventually I'm going to take some time to work with these more extensively and find out what they're really about... I can see the experience being more "beginner-friendly" than that of the cubensis. A pretty big issue I've found, is that they don't store very well... I had ~8.5g of stored fruits (only about 6 months old, properly stored with desiccant and O2-absorber) that didn't even enhance a THC-buzz. Does anyone have similar results with aged fruits? I know cubes can store well over a year and still be viable.
Angam: Wow, I love how beefy those are. Does anybody know if the split caps are genetic or environmental?

Wow, that's interesting. Considering their similar structure and appearance to cubes, I can't come up with a reason why this would be the case.
Are you sure you ruled out EVERY other factor, tolerance, etc before taking them? Was it a MS grow and maybe some were just less potent initially? Because I can't think of any reason such a similar mushroom would deteriorate so much more quickly than cubes. I had cubes that lasted well over 5 years with no loss in potency.

These things have been all over the board for me. The ones in my sig are cool looking, but they were less potent than cubes. All of the ones that have thrown me for a loop are the gnarly spaghetti ones that shred themselves as they grow.

I've microdosed .3 of invitro pins. I usually micro .5 to .8 of cubes depending on potency. I can say it was energetic and I was just on the verge of feeling something. .5 would likely be too much for a micro.

Forrester: I remember taking all the steps necessary to get a good run, but nothing. The fruits were nice and blue originally, but were a powdery-red color when I went to do them. They've all been the same genetics, Ive only had this culture throw a couple of odd fruits (which have been cloned).
Trying to isolate that rosecomb one. Looking fairly uniform:

Also have got one going that had "PE" style morphology.
