Sprouts

Mung beans, horse gram (a kind of lentil), French lentils that are maybe a little past ready to cook.


Anybody sprouting anything? I've been sprouting these three along with black beans, black lentils, fenugreek and peas.

I've been making patties out of the lot of the sprouts, curried bean sprout patties. The sprouts go into a lot of things though, after a quick steam they go in the fridge and a jar last a couple of three days.

A ham sandwich with cheese and refrigerator pickles on curried bean sprout patties.



There was too much stuff in these patties and they didn't hold together as well as they usually do. Had to eat this with a fork.



For the batter, most times some sort of corn based fish fry, flour, seasoning, some of the juice from cooking the sprouts and an egg.
