Using fahts (or maybe quirk) method of dunking swabs in sterile water and roughing them up a bit really helps. It's upped my game with them by far.
I’m sure other peeps do that but that’s what I do and what I was gonna suggest.. rub em together after a dip. The rub dislodges em and helps separate the spores into smaller spore clumps
I got this pea+ f6 ms culture by dipping the swabs (from a 2 pack set) in sterile water, rubbing them together and then dipping one of the swabs directly into a 4oz glc grain jar (twisting as I dipped and pulled out… that’s what he said)

Would you say swiping a plate then jamming the swab into another is effective? I'm determined to grow PE before I die.

Hi. New to this journey. Here are my first four monotubs.

Any and all advice welcome. I'm feeling good, but not certain that I will get fae and surface conditions correct the first time.

I usually use my scalpel and a pair of tweezers to pull strands of the swab fiber off and bury it in a plate. I can usually noc' up about 4 plates doing it this way, then I'll jam the swab tip in its own plate when I'm done and typically every plate will germinate.

That's the best way I've tried. It takes a little practice to dig the fibers out with the scalpel but you can do 5 or more. You just kinda puff it up picking with the scalpel and then grab as little spore fiber as you can.
I hardly get much if anything with a regular swipe even with a water dip like glorious faht uses.

Exactly what I do. Dip in water, rough it up with another swab, swab a couple plates, dunk in the last one. Works like a charm.

They look good, especially the surface conditions in the last picture. Just keep doing what you’re doing and you’ll be good.
Also coir is a lot easier to use instead of manure but you seem to have it working fine.

Melmac X RW spawned 11/20. One gallon of water is too little and these tubs feel slow AF cause of it
Upped to ~4.25L per 800g coir and 1 or 2 qt verm, definitely better.

I've had pretty good luck with sponsor syringes. I'm in the process of doing pe brf cakes spawned to cv just for the sake of getting some quick fruits to clone.

Beautiful man.
I can’t wait to try some semperviva. They kind of look similar to tamps but I haven’t heard any mention of the tamp energy from them.

Sounds like you’re missing the most “glorious” part of what I’m saying.. like any good rack of ribs, the magic comes from the rub.. you’re not going to germinate spores that never make it to the plate because they’re stuck to the swab.. getting them wet is not enough
If you’re gonna dig at me, at least do the method correctly
